    Glutamine before Bed?

I have started to take 5g Glutamine before bed.
Should I do this before or after brushing my teeth?
Will the glutamine affect my teeth?

Glutamine has never affected my teeth. But if you're really that paranoid about it, then just do it before you brush your teeth. It really shouldn't make a difference though.

    Was this serious??

OP not a bad idea to take glutamine, will definitely help in recovery - not sure if anything else but you should see a difference with 5, 10, 15g

Don't worry about your teeth bro

i forget where i heard it... but glutamine before bed is supposed to increase GH release while sleeping (no idea how much). but don't take my word for it, i can't remember the source.

LOL, that's a new question. When taking glutamine before bed, I typically just throw 5g in my mouth and chase it with water. I brush my teeth after. But it wouldn't matter either way.

I take my glutamine as a rectal suppository specifically so I don't ruin my teeth.

Or you can mix it with eel spit, that enhances the effect and gives you soggy britches.

Why do people take glutamine these days, when so many people say it doesn't aid in recovery? I've heard gut health. Does it improve immune function or is that BS?

It's been proven that the immune system is weakened when glutamine levels are low. There's no proof that above average glutamine levels help anything at all.

I have found a significant difference in recovery using glutamine when prepping, in addition to the benefits it offers for glucose disposal, slight volumizing and general health. It has also been brought to my attention that glutamine can help with alkalinity for those with high-protein diets, which most of us employ.
