Confessions of a stim junkie........
I finished up a preworkout log a couple of weeks ago and since then have been working out either without a preworkout or with a sample pack I received of a product that does not have beta alanine. It's made me realize how much I like and miss the beta tingles. I'm not sure I'll ever workout again without stims... I know it's sad, but I love them.
Had a great shoulder workout 2 days ago after 12hr fast, on a cup of coffee and 2 pills of APE. Felt REALLY pumped afterwards...
morning weight at 199lb today.... no drop but I feel a little tighter all over, pants feel a little loose (feels great!).
I definitely think the APE is having effect on my mood.... Have had very little sleep over the past few days (working night shifts) and usually that makes me pretty cranky, but i feel quite the opposite!

Just finished a chest / tricep working. Working out on APE has me feeling.... euphoric. I can't really explain it, but I have this overal feeling of well being. I feel strong, mentally and physically! Simply put, i feel great!
Anxious to see as I get into week 2 if the feeling continues. Hopefully will see some gains by the end of the month... I am confident that I will!!Canadian LEO

thanks for the support!
I just read the article on beta alanine in your sig... I knew already that I loved the stuff, but now I want to buy some all by itself and supp more into my daily routine! The 1-2 grams I was getting in PWO helped my workouts but it looks like 4-5g is the sweet spot for daily intake.Canadian LEO

was planning on doing back/biceps today but decided to do something different....
Started O'Hearn's 12 week program, today... I'm pretty excited about it. Never followed an actual program and this one is different that what I usually do. Normally I do chest/triceps, back/biceps, shoulders/legs, repeat. With O'Hearn's program, it's one muscle group per day, workout 5 days a week. I like this idea as I usually workout 5 days a week anyways...
CHEST today...
incline barbell bench
6 sets, 5 reps
flat DB bench
4 sets, 10 reps
incline DB flies
3 sets, 10 repsCanadian LEO

legs last night. OHearn's progra is big on heavy lifts for the big movements, ie: squats. I'm not a experience squatter but did the seven sets the program calls for at the heaviest weight I could manage (225)....
... I could hardly walk down the stairs this morning. I think tomorrow's gonna be really rough...Canadian LEO

That's interesting. Did you discover this yourself or did you find a Canuck licking your arm?
Agreed. And just wait until that vein takes a turn at your shoulder towards your chest. Beast mode achieved.
Yeah, people often think walking up stairs or standing up is difficult with sore legs...those of us in the know, however, know it's going DOWN that's terrible. Like when you basically have to fall on the toilet...

2 days after leg day and the DOMS were brutal. I was pretty much useless yesterday. Today is a much needed rest day after 5 straight days of training on a new program. I'm feeling pretty tired..
will focus on getting some good food into me today then back at it Saturday.
.... I can see the bottom of my bottle of APE. Yikes! I'm starting to look for a good deal on getting another bottle. I don't want to run out of this stuff! I think an 8 week run would yield much better results!Last edited by 80benrichards; 08-09-2012 at 06:39 AM.

had a couple of rest days, then back at it Saturday and Sunday...
SAT: chest.
had a GREAT chest workout.... flat bench, incline bench and DB incline flies. Felt strong as an ox during workout and for hours afterwards. I was pumped all evening, despite having worked out after a grueling 10hr shift
SUN: legs.
good leg workout today.... 7 sets squats, 7 sets of leg extensions. Followed up with planks and hanging leg lifts. It's been about 5 hrs since my workout and I'm still feeling pretty good, but tired. I went for a long walk on the beach with my kids after leg workout and my legs feel kinda like jello right now. I think the DOMS are gonna be brutal tomorrow!
here's the beach we went to, in Bouctouche NB:
tomorrow: go APE on my shoulders!!!!Canadian LEO

today's motivation some dude where my wife works.....
i'm 31 and training to try to get into the best shape of my life. To be stronger, healthier, leaner. I try my best.... I have obstacles: 3 kids, work shifts, limited sleep at weird hours. But, I try. Now, there's this guy my wife works with who is about 40 and apparently has a "rock solid" chest that all the woman she works with go gaga over. I wanna be "that guy"....Canadian LEO

I have recently started looking into a Test booster. Can you answer a few questions please? Maybe the rep for APE can do that too.
1. When do you find is the best time to take APE?
2. I am trying to get into running as well as working out. What are the pros and cons if I am training for a half marathon? (guess that would be for the APE rep)
3. How has it made an impact on your home life with your wife? You have mentioned the pump you feel after a workout. Has it helped there too?
4. How has it helped with energy throughout the day? I find I am hitting the 2:00 low more often and my head is nodding off.
ThanksLast edited by jaymezrus; 08-14-2012 at 09:25 AM. Reason: question #4

1. be more specific do u mean daily or if your focus is cut/bulk/recomp?
2. I run all the time on APE, no issues there
3. Definitely postives, better mood, better sleep, and yes it will make a difference in the bedroom
4. Non stim so its not going to have the effects of a stim, but better sleep and better mood can = more energy/motivation to get stuff done|~| EXTREME PULL UPS CREW |~|

I am definitely not an expert on the subject.... but I'll do my best.
1. I take APE an hour before working out. Like the way it makes me feel.... strong, confident. I have great workouts on APE!
2. Can't help you there.... I'm not a runner
3. I'm only 31....not in my 40s, but not 20 either..... My libido is still good but, honestly, since starting APE, it's a little stronger than usual. Wife is happy The biggest impact has been on my mood. I stronly believe that Fenugreek has a positive impact on mood/stress. Possibly due to blood/sugar control. This has had a HUGE impact on my family life. My wife is dreading the day I run out of APE!
4. Again, I think the positive impact on blood sugar has definitely helped with energy level. Don't expect to take APE and feel wired all day... it's not a stimulant. But I do find that I am feeling less tired than before when it's 2 - 4pm and I used to get that afternoon sugar crash.
I think it's a fantastic product and HIGHLY recommend it!Canadian LEO
