I'm sure there are other people that have experienced this but when I take a preworkout sometimes I feel a tingling feeling around my body (face, hands). This only happens sometimes and I was just wondering if there was a certain ingredient that may cause this? Currently i'm taking C4 Extreme and I love it, and this feeling has happened with other preworkouts as well. I wouldn't think it's the caffeine because have had other sources or caffeine and it's never happened. Does it have to do with my diet before I take the preworkout? Would love to know if someone knew the answer. Thanks in advance!

I had this happen with C4 and only C4. However, it was bad. Real bad. I broke out in a sweat in 30 degree weather and it felt like my blood itched. Everywhere. I definitely looked like a tweeker in desperate need of a fix and would have likely been arrested for possible DUI had I been pulled over on my way to the gym. Worst part, I didnt even take the full recommended dose. Though, between the itching and all I got in an awesome workout that day. I gave the rest to my buddy at the gym after that episode.

Studies done on Beta-Alanine show it is only effective when dosed like 4-5x per day for 1-1.5 grams per dose. It makes absolutely no sense for it to be in a PWO if you aren't considering taking it as a stand alone as well.
I speculate the tingling side-effect (which doesn't mean anything in terms of performance enhancement) is the reason companies put it in the product. This way the kids think "it's working brah!!".
