    Question Eat Bread after workout?

I've been contemplating eating bread for its carbs after my workout, this would be in addition to my protein shake. Is this a good idea or will the bread just soak up the protein shake in my stomach and they both become ineffective?

I only have white bread at the moment, would wheat be better? Thanks!

    1. If bread soaks anything up, it doesnt mean its ineffective, it still needs to be digested, bread shake and all....really this is not complicated stuff.

    2. Eat what ever you want before/after your workout, it makes no difference as long as you get your daily calories and macros in.
    Eat the damn yolk.

    ......

Have the bread. It should be consumed relative to your TDEE, calculated macros, considered micros/fibre and goal.

Pretty tough to make a big ol' sammich without any bread, OP.

^This is very good advice, when I first came to the forums, I had read all these articles saying different things about nutrition and making everything complicated, talking about meal frequency and nutrient timing and all this stuff. After reading this sticky I learned that bodybuilding nutrition, and just nutrition in general doesn't need to be complicated. So yea basically clear your mind about anything you've read about nutrition before and soak up the information in that sticky.
