    Weekly vs Daily calories

Is it bad if I just naturally go up and down in calories while cutting? I keep my weekly calories the same, but some days I only eat about 1k cals, then the next day I'll eat 2500. Anything wrong with that? I average about 1850 per day.

Keeping it consistent is better imo. Why would you even take in only 1000 in a day. Make things easier on yourself by creating a schedule

Some days I'm just not hungry. Once I get a few weeks into a cut, I gotta force myself to eat.

if you keep weekly calories consistent you will lose weight fine, even if daily calories vary for you. There is no need to INTENTIONALLY vary daily calories at this point, but if its easier for you to do so then its fine. i.e. have a steak dinner or drink some beers one night so decrease the calories the next day, and by the end of the week it evens out to your target. That will work fine.

For someone your size, 6'0" 215lbs, 1850 calories seems pretty low, I would guess that around 2300 would still put you in a great deficit.

Been going for a 1000 cal deficit. I calculated my maintenance at around 3400 when I play basketball 4-5 days a week and lift 3 times a week. I have been busy so I chose 1850 while I'm not exercising much.

I figured your maintenance was around 3400 as well. That's just a huge deficit. I keep mine at around a 600 calorie deficit, but to each his own.
