It's actually good for the heart. Dr Atkins was a cardiologist who developed his keto diet as a treatment for heart disease, the weight loss was a side effect.
Do it by eating fresh whole food: eggs, oily fish, fresh meat and chicken, lots and lots of green veg, olive oil, nuts, cheese, butter, coconut oil etc. Avoid processed food, deli meats, any sort of "low carb" bar or food.65% fat, 30% protein, 5% carbs = keto.

In studies, a Ketogenic/low-carb diet has been shown to decrease blood pressure, increase good cholesterol (HDL), reduce Very Low Density Lipo-Protein Type a (VLDLa), and lower Triglycerides......which are all components of heart health.
