Both are fantastic moves depending on your grip for bb rows they may be used to widen your back while the db rows are good for thickness.

I rarely use both in the same day unless I'm using one for a warmup and another for a working set.

    But I love them both.

Similar lifts. Both hit the midback nicely. I personally like bb rows better but both help for development purposes.

But I rarely do both in the same day either. I religeously do bb rows but do the one arm version every 2 weeks. since bringing my bb rows @220x6 my 1 arm rows max out at exactly half of that now @110x10. I had stalled at 90x10 on one arms for a long time until I increased my bb row.

No harm in doing both, unless you got a thousand other exercises for your back. But these 2 exercises are good and enough for the targeted development.

You might find yourself more comfortable or have more mind-muscle connection between those 2.

You could use both. I would not do them on the same day though. Look to include them on different days or even as an extra burnout.

What's with all this "not on the same day" crap? They are two different back exercises, and are not the same. There is no problem whatsoever doing them both on the same day if you want.

A wide grip barbell row paired with a one arm DB row is a great combination. If you are going to alternate them, DB rows are a good choice for deadlift days, since they are supported.

I LOVE 1-arm DB rows. IMHO, the best exercise I do for the back. After that, I usually opt for T-bar rows, instead of BB rows. For me it just feels like it hits the lats better... with the narrower grip.

I do a few sets on the seated cable row, with the wide grip bar (from the lat pull down machine), and use that to hit the rhomboids. So all in all, even though I typically don't do BB rows, I get the same effect. Arguably better.

I prefer DB rows, although I use both often. It's ultimately your choice.
Bodybuilding is 60% training and 50% diet. Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow.

I like DB row better, I feel like its too hard to keep the back horizontal with the BB row. I always have the feeling that im cheating on them. What are you doing to avoid that? I mean...how to keep a good form?

You don't have be completely horizontal with BB rows, but if you feel like you must just do Pendlay Rows instead.

Use both. BB rows build alot of mass. Db rows allow u to go heavier( I dont know why but I reg use 80-100lbs with one arm with a db, but cant use 200 with a bb) and allow u to better hit all the smaller muscles that make up ur back. If I were forced to go with one it would be db.

I do it occasional when I really want to feel a peak contraction, and get a good pump.

If you realize you have one side of your back that is stronger than the other, I would emphasize DB row over the BB row, as DB row will help balance out the muscles. Both are definitley great exercises tho, and I don't see why you shouldnt do them on the same day.*
