inb4 phil comes nad proves everyone wrong, you have to realize this was his cheat day
naw its in the newest flex magazine. just got it in the mail. kai greenes on the cover its not even on the flex website homepage yet
i just realized his meal 8 is optional though. 800 calories. that could knock off almost 2k without meal 8 or a normal meal replacing the cheat.
but other than that hes still at 7k on a normal day, pretty believable to meLast edited by schabowy90; 04-24-2011 at 09:54 PM.

This was actually debunked in his interview with Anderson Cooper. The rumor that had been circulating the internet was that he ate 12k calories per day, and when Cooper asked him about it, he said it was not true... and that he eats between 8,000-10,000 calories per day when training!
Still pretty impressive!

The problem here is that most you guys believe that they do this with "clean" calories. I would bet money that these guys don't really pay that much attention to what they are eating until prep time. Throw in large doses of GH and other speculated substances that eat up bodyfat like its nothing is it really that hard to believe the guy couldn't put close to 9k in calories away and stay relatively lean? That being said I'm pretty sure 9k was just a ballpark guess cause he really doesn't keep that tight of a watch on things offseason. Its probably closer to the 6-7k range.

Funny, magazines will edit everything people say, even coach them on questions, in this case, its not far fetched that hes made to be more the human.
I'm pretty sure these Pros will change up there diet from week to week or even to a day basis depending on the "work-out" at the gym.
Although we would like to think Phil gives a 100 percent at the gym every time, physically his body will start to break down, so sometimes, I'm guessing he will cut his "work-outs" short.
Its not unreal for him or a "huge" person to eat that much, but remember eating and digestion takes a LOT of energy he may not have some days.
I'm wondering what the blood work for somebody of his caliber looks like!!!!
Remember to get his size takes scientific timing, and in a lot cases (more often then not) eating that much would work against him. The more he eats the longer eat takes for digestion, (assuming that he has normal parastalsis)
per·i·stal·sis/ˌperəˈstôlsis/
Noun: The involuntary constriction and relaxation of the muscles of the intestine or another canal, creating wavelike movements that push the contents of the canal forward
So the question is how long would it take to digest that many calories, (longer then typical 8 hours) before his next excercise. Don't forget he has to sleep a lot so, sleeping slows down digestion. Again timing is crucial.

If you think for single moment that on any of his meals there is one type of clean food you are nuts
Guys like him waking up to bowl of fruits and bowl of cereal with whole milk and pancakes,
and go to sleep after eating pack of ice cream.
the amount of GH in their system + the slin ( that while on you MUST eat)
allow them to do so, and im not talking about the grams of all other kind of hormones that make it even easier to consume that crazy amount of food.
so that's kind of B.S to write down the exact amount of cals per day, because one day it might be 8k and on the another it might be 11k
and that's why they can eat up to 300+ carbs on the week b4 contest and still getting paper skin dry and body fat at 4-3%.
now go back to the 70's and 80's and take a look at their physiques on the day of the show, and think about what is missing there....
(hint: it's not their genetics)Ballin'
