    Business Help

Greeting fellow trainers. I have recently come upon a potentially great opportunity for myself. A great friend of mine works at a 50-200 person business in a big building that also houses several other businesses. The building he is in has an unstaffed gym, with decent equipment, that is open to everyone in the building.

I am trying to devise a plan to how I could train people in that gym. My buddy would be able to get me an intro with the head of human resources at his company. Should I attack this from a corporate fitness angle? Perhaps if his human resources buys into my program, it would be easier then cold calling the building manger.

Obviously I'm trying gather as much insight as I can before I go at this. Ideally I would love to run a semi-private training model. Charging monthly training costs for people to train from 2-4 x a week, and giving them an individualized program.

Does anyone have any thoughts or insight on this plan?

just be confident but dont be cocky, have sense of humor and be a good person this should come first
then show him u got some good knowledge and experience, be convincing and keep it simple if i were u i'd start out with the basic famous programs that is well proven to work like all pro's SS madcows 5/3/1 etc..most people in the gyms all over are wasting their time doing retarded ****. these programs will have magic effect on them.

also if u tell the head human resources, that u know alot about famous international well known programs written by expert coaches u will sound better thaan when u said i have great programs of my " own " that works.

Thanks for the insight. I will feel confident going in as I have advanced a lot in this industry since graduating. I just completed a strength and conditioning internship at cressey performance. My programming is based off what I learned there. Which in a way is kind of like a west side for skinny bastards, or 5/3/1. The "Individualization," is based off an assessment and also drives the business model. It includes personalized mobility/stability work and reasonable assistance work depending on where they are at movement wise. All good training programs get results, but not all of them are sold as easily.
