Heavy Cream -- bad for you?

I have been putting about 3-4 tablespoons in each of my two shakes per day. I realize that heavy cream isn't the healthiest thing for you but in terms of dense calories and fat, it is a decent idea to mix in your shakes.

Does anyone else use heavy cream in their diets?

As far as I know, you should stay away from heavy cream. If anything, maybe Low Fat? I may be wrong though!

May I ask why you've been doing this ? And what percentage heavy whipping cream are you using (ie 36-40%) ?

From a health standpoint, I'd probably advise against doing such for your smoothies/shakes all the time. Why not something like coconut milk/cream for the MCTs that is still w/ flavor and viscous ?

I think he could of been referring to a cream lower in fat like half-n-half.

I have been using heavy cream (3-4 tablespoons) in 2 of my shakes for about 3-4 months. I have been trying to gain weight and I seen some good results along with x-factor/activate xtreme.

    In the shake:
    1/2 2% milk
    3-4 tablespoons heavy cream
    5-6 strawberries
    FEED brand granola
    1 banana
    1/2 cup yogurt

Moderation is key. Although I think creme is better served for cooking rather than making protein shakes. One of my ecto gym rat friends drinks 1 quart of heavy cream a day, and it's gross.
