I dont know what markets are around you but i usually shop at walmart or food 4 less.
id like to keep the cost around 25-40 bucks a week if possible

Chicken breast: 8-10$/kg, steak varies from 10/kg up until 15$/kg. 12 large eggs are usually about 3$, for 6 litres of egg whites i pay 28.60$, loaf of wholemeal bread: 2$, 1kg of lean kangaroo mince: 7$, australia is pretty expensive to live, but yet again households usually receive large income which is enough for us to live. Like for example the area i live in renting a house is usually about 350$ a week... i get youth allowance from the government because im a uni student, i get 265 a fortnight, plus i have a part time job so i manage haha.

well rice, potatoes, oats, eggs alone is about 10$ which is pretty cheap..
Well if anything it would be better for people to suggest staple meals that are easy to make cause i work and its real time consuming.
Actually im @ 200 right now but i have only been training for 6months. You're far more ahead then i am.

Brown rice: Cheap and calorie dense + great carbs.
chicken: cheap and high protein
Eggs: no explanation needed
oatmeal: cheap, great carbs eat it whenever during the day
wholemeal bread: cheap and again... good carbs
low fat ground beef/mince: if you fry this up, add a nice pasta sauce, garlic onions & herbs, add it to some wholemeal pasta, you got a high protein, good carb meal
sandwhiches are the best... go to your deli section, buy low fat meats and just live off wholemeal bread sandwhiches haha
natural peanut butter: tastes amazing, calorie dense and goes good on bread, have this as a snack during the day
tuna: cheap, high protein tastes good with crackers
just any sort of lean meat really haha and complex carb
and of course, make sure you're eating your veges!
oh and last but not least, low fat milk, have it with your oatmeal, protein shakes and whenever you want, it has protein and the extra calories will help at
make sure you're drinking plenty of water aswell

you can use whey protein and milk as your main source for protein. Its actually very cheap per scoop. Also eggs
For carbs, Oatmeal, Rice, potatoes.
For fats, just keep the yolks in the eggs, and you'll get some fat from milk.
As for micronutrients, This gets a little expensive with fruit and vegetables. But banana's are usually cheap, apples. And i buy frozen mixed veggies. Its like $1 for like 3 cups of veggies.

^^ frozen mixed veggies are great. really cheap
if you can hit up costco or sams club or BJ's or one of those bulk superstores, you can get rice and oats in massive amounts for a great price.
also I don't think anyone has mentioned tuna. I usually grab a ton of cans whenever theres a sale at the supermarket or i get them in giant packs at costco.
In terms of meat, I'll usually pick up stuff whenever theres a great sale on, or I've got some extra money whether I'm going to eat it for the week or not, and ill put the rest in the freezer.
also, I don't know if alot of people do this, but I don't mind eating a can of garbanzo beans, black beans, or pinto beans. they have a good amount of carbs and protein in one can, and ill usually put them with rice. if you look around you might be able to find those for cheap.
