The only protein powder I have ever taken is Isopure which I have read will absorb into my muscles quickly because it is like 99% protein isolate. I know there are protein formulas out there that I can take before bed that will have a mix of multiple protein compounds that vary in absorption rates but I am getting frustrated researching all the options out there.
Can anybody give me some suggestions on products I should be looking for?
Thanks!

Definitely Syntha 6. Tastes REALLY good, and is slow digesting.
The last three or four reps is what makes the muscle grow. This area of pain divides the champion from someone else who is not a champion. That's what most people lack, having the guts to go on and just say they'll go through the pain no matter what happens.

You want a protein with the most amount of Casein in it. Casein protein is a very slow absorbing protein but you probably already know that... I'm interested in the dynatize 12 hour protein but heard it may be a bunch of bs... IMO i like blends because of their taste (Syntha 6, Muscle Milk, Nitrocore) but the best shake to drink pre bed in a pure casein protien such as ON Casein... Waiting for my tub of C&C ON Casein to arrive :-)

tell you the truth, im taking ON casein...its good but not great. if you want a great slow release casein, go for Ultra Peptide 2.0 by xtreme formulations. hands down, its thinner and better tasting. two scoops of ON Casein = mudbath in my mouth

Dymatize 12-hour hands down. Syntha is good, but you don't want the MCTs before bed.

ultra peptide is an excellent product and so is 100% casein from ON.
I would stay away from the blends as they have a mixture and you probably have to really look at how much it really has .. if its a blend, they probably mix 60-70 % whey and 40-30 casein... you probably want 100% and probably better of getting a pure product that you can be sure that you are getting the benefits..
I may have to say that Ultra Peptide may be better, but havent compared the two.

Shell, i plead with you to not just listen to people on this board.
Syntha-6: High in fat and cholesterol. It's also very thick.. so while they have many solid flavors and it does contain some slower digesting protein, it is not in my opinion the best pre-bed shake.
On Casein: Great profile but trust me, FAR FROM great taste. Smells bad, mixes terribly, and taste is barely drinkable. I've tried all flavors because i really wanted to like it due to the profile but it's not very good in the taste category.
My suggestions: Ultra Peptide and Micellular Matrix - both taste good (i like chocolate) and have excellent pre-bed profiles. With UP you have 2 choices: UP 1.0 - low fat but lesser taste, and UP 2.0 - a lot more fat (healthy fats like Syntha 6 and Muscle Milk) and also has some creatine and whey. UP 2.0 Choc PB is the best tasting powder in my opinion...but i have a hard time with the profile from a pure pre bedtime perspective.
So you want the best balance in taste, profile, and low fat? Go with UP 1.0 or Micellular Matrix. Taste more important? Go with UP 2.0 or of course Muscle Milk or Syntha 6.
Hope this helps.

2.5 servings of 24 gram protein in my cottage cheese. Not sure how much it costs. I just buy it =\ If it is above 2.50$ though casein powder would win.
27 servings of 24g in my ON casein. 22.5 a tub (2lb so 4lb would be even better) .83 cents per 24g right now.
I loaded up on casein during a sale. 16.99 a 2 pound tub
I still change it up now and then though.πβπInπβπ
