Never ask if it's good no matter what you get people talk bad bout it. Just keep getting stronger and increase when possible.
    Also barbell or dumbbell curl?

Don't listen to people when they say you need to lift heavy for biceps. That is a bad idea. When you lift heavy, you should be training muscles like chest or triceps, which are explosive movements. For Muscles like Back and Biceps keep it light but enough weight that you feel that your muscles are being stressed around 12 reps. I suggest keep lifting 25lbs for 2 weeks, then raise it to 30lbs after those two weeks. You gotta get out of your comfort zone.

don't worry about what other people say man, 3x10 is a good rep/set range and that's what i do then switch over to hammer curls 3x10. Bodybuilding is not about the weight, but how much resistance and stress you are putting on the muscle itself, as long as the weight is moderate-decently heavy, and can rep it witth minimal momentum then that is a good weight, remember to stretch at the bottom and squeeze and the very top.
