    Creatine Monohydrate Dissolve??

    Hi Guys,

Does creatine mono-hydrate dissolve? I'm using Universals Mono hydrate and find that it is hard to drink because it does not dissolve in my shake! Do all mono-hydrate creatine stay in crystal form like this one?

Which mono-hydrate creatine is the best?

    Thanks,

    Mitch

universal is a great company, but I've never used their mono. i know the Sci-FIt creatine dissolves almost instantly in water and most others should too.....i almost doubt the problem is the mono though, universal is such a solid company....

if you run out of mono and would like to try a diff brand, here's 1000g for 14.99 and again, it dissolves almost instantly............

Creatine mono doesn't have the greatest solubility in water. Ifyou can't deal with it, try warm water now or next time try a micronized creatine.

Mitch, what exactly is the problem? Are you letting your shake sit and when you finally get to the bottom you taste the granular texture of the creatine?

I never have any problem adding creatine mono to any shake. I just shake it up and slam (drink in 5 seconds or less) and it is gone and I don't really even taste hardly anything - just the aftertaste of the protein powder. Basically the creatine is suspended in the shake mixture. I even add a bit of water to the remains in the shaker cup and down that last little bit as well if I am feeling particularly anal retentive for the day.

I find no matter how hard I shake PL's mono never dissolves but it's basically tasteless and you can't feel its texture in your mouth.

I know what you mean. Next time go with a micronized creatine. It solves the problem. But Universal is a super solid company, so its NOT their product. Just my opinoin though....
