It'll help clear up the Misc. forum a little bit and it would be cool.
Last night, the first page of the Misc had about 4 threads asking which car was better.
If we could make a car forum a subtopic of the misc, I think it would help make the general misc a little less crowded.
If there is an outdoors and relationship help forum, there should be a car forum. Most people on the forums in general drive a car or have a license.
What do I have to do to get this going?

Get as many members as you can to post in this thread. It's the only way that it will get noticed.
Took my car in for an oil change. The place inspects your car along with the oil change. About six months ago, they had found some things that needed repair on the car and I took it to a friend that fixed it for less than half the price the CJ Auto would have done it for. I take it a back to CJ a month later for some minor work. I thought no problem. Five months after that it is oil change time with them. They claim my friend forgot to put the boot on and my ball joint is going out. My friend said that those ****ers must have cut the boot when they saw that I didn't have the work done with them.
Anyone going to CJ Automotive in Waukesha, WI...don't do it.

That is part of the issue.
Movies, videogames, automobile, science, philosophy, a ton have been brought up over time as sub-section ideas.
Music, relationship help, R/P, and other sub-forums created for specific interests get decent traffic.
However their are still a ton of threads created each day outside those specific areas that either need to be moved, closed, or crowd the sections at times even though the sub-forums were created and exist.Last edited by LUKEDEICHER; 02-04-2010 at 04:46 PM.

I know this thought probably won't get much support. But.
Can automotive be added to outdoor rec...they have a motorcycle sticky. It'd avoid most of the silly replies you get in the misc. Plus people post about trucks in there often. You can add one sticky for automotive how to write ups.
Why not add movies and video games to the music section. Then rename it entertainment section.

Well, the rep betting sub-forum is gone, we can just add this in its place. Most of the time, a thread that needs to be moved, closed, or crowds the sections are miscers just posting nonsense. In a car forum, it would be strictly car talk. Miscers are too lazy to post off topic questions in the other sub-forums.I rep back

So maybe we should move every misc conversation about girls to the relationship subforum. Seems like that's the majority of general misc topics anyway.
I guess my final post in here since it's unlikely to happen is that a car sub-forum would be a great addition to the bb.com forums in general. If we can talk about the wwe, outdoors, and fantasy sports, we should be able to bring in enough people to talk strictly about cars. It was worth a shot and I don't mind going on the Vortex to talk about cars.I rep back

I wouldn't mind a car sub-forum or them grouped with another sub-forum. But, if they make a new sub-forum they'll have to choose it carefully cause no matter what you can't please everyone and they will have people complaining left and right.
Those forums listed have a reason. When posting about Guns (outdoor rec) or WWE it's open season for flames and arguing in the Misc. The Fantasy Sports is a sub-forum of the Sports section (I still don't know why it's listed below it on the Misc main page). At least the car threads being in the Misc doesn't start arguements....most of the time.

I know a lot of queers that have probably forgotten more car knowledge than you currently know...just sayin'
That aside, I like this idea. Other forums have tons of other sub-forums (more than bb.com) and it works great. Is bb.com a sponsor for WWE or something? I think it's stupid that it has it's own subforum. It could even be a great resource for car purchasing. I know there are car dealers on here that could help people negotiate (i.e. give auction values for those considering a trade-in, invoice amounts etc)."Be bold and mighty forces will come to your aid." -Basil King
