Yeah weight loss. I just needed a basic black one because the one I have is now too big everywhere and looked ridiculous. Hopefully I won't need a smaller one because the new one is a Freya size 6... I think that is the smallest band they make.

But....this morning I opened a new jug of protein and the scoop was sitting right there on the top. Second time in a row that has happened. I guess the Universe has a way of balancing things out.

Was there a storm or anything? I love the guilty face they give you. I used to have 2 labs and one day I came home to find they had chewed up every magazine in the house (and my ex-husband had a TON). There was paper everywhere. And the dogs were sitting calmly on their beds refusing to look at me. lol.

No storm. Nothing unusual. I came home after work...turned them outside for a bit...fed and watered. Then, I went to get my nails did and hit the gym...was gone about 3 hours...and BAM!!! She'll be 9 yrs old in Feb and has only done something like this one other time...about 5 years ago. We were staying in a hotel and left her in the room while going to dinner...gone MAYBE two hours and she had literally eaten half of the WALL!! I swear if we had been gone much longer she would have busted through into the hallway. Funny, what you say about the guilt...she would NOT make eye contact with me the rest of the night! Then at bedtime...instead of laying at the foot of the bed, she burrowed right up next to me and plopped her head on my pillow...guess she was ready to 'make up' LOL!!

when Christmas turned into all about getting and giving 'stuff,' that's kind of what turned the tide, plus good ole fashioned corporate greed.

Yeah, the stores opening on Thanksgiving now really bugs me. I mean, it seems like one store did it to get a head start and now they all have to one-up each other and see who can open earlier. Let these people who work in retail enjoy the day with their families/friends. The next month has got to be pretty rough. They deserve a holiday.

I had gone out Black Friday shopping a couple times. I think if you go into it with a certain mindset that it's going to be slow going and have realistic expectations of what you're dealing with, it might not be so bad. I almost wouldn't mind going out this year but I'm not sure my patience can handle it. LOL

I'm debating taking the kids down to Philly for the light show at Macy's on Saturday which might be a dumb idea as I'm not sure what the crowds will be like this weekend, but I also don't think I can deal with 4 days of them cooped up in the house asking me for food every 5 minutes. My son is 7.5. I shudder to think what my grocery bills are going to look like when he's a teenager. And I think my daughter is having a growth spurt - she is eating constantly, too!

LOL reminds me of when I was a teenager. I was always into edgy hair cuts, and my dad was the most traditional Italian dad you can possibly imagine. So I'd go get the latest hair style and he'd send me right back to "have it fixed". So one day I cut my hair so short you could see the skin, and then all spikey at the top. He so wanted to say "go back and have it fixed", but how the fukk can you fix THAT? LOL I still remember his face to this day
