depends on the intensity if it is a light jog then i would say after 20mins you would start to lose muscle if it is high intensity then most likely the whole time your running.

Do you think some whey or BCAAs before the run can curb muscle loss?

Both these guys run.. The difference is how they do it..

If you run just eat more... If you wanna lose weight, run fast for 20 minute and never eat so little that you are losing more than half a pound a week.

That image is so over-rated IMO.

If your diet is set, and you are lifting heavy, you will not look like that marathon runner. Just like was stated up above, the dude probably never touches weights.

I personally need to go running just to get my HR above 100BPM! Walking on a treadmill at 15degree incline at 3-3.2mph doesn't even do it for me anymore. The stairmaster at damn near running is the only thing that makes me break a sweat. So it really depends.

If your conditioned for it, go on your little jog, just make sure your consuming the proper amount of high quality calories and train legs, you'll be fine.
The Iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and hear all kinds of talk, get told that you're a god or a total bastard. The Iron will always kick you the real deal. The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds. ~Henry Rollins

just increase your calories according to how often you run, I'm not sure what your pace is but a mile is about 100 cals burned, but that's just an estimation
