It is a sad day.

It is sad coming from a website that I respect to give an article that causes more confusion. Debunking the fat loss myths just has done that. I wished the writer did some research and base his writing skills on fact and logic and not just his opinion. For example our body maintains and a certain body temperature. Drinking cold water decreases the body temperature the body then burns calories to heat the body back to its normal state. That is why we shiver when we are cold to bring back up the body temperature. Another example the body use simple carbs first then fat for energy if there is no simple carbs then the body will use fat for energy. Therefore in the morning you body has fast all night and there is no simple carbs to burn it will burn the fat. One more it is true 20 min. is not a magic no. but a little research will show the longer the body needs energy the more it starts to use fat for energy. At first is mostly simple carbs but after a period of time it uses mostly fat. Most people have experience the “second wind” This is when the body starts using fat for energy and since fat is higher in calories it gives more calories for energy. The other one I would agree probably is a myth. But please does some research before you write. I thank you for giving this chance to write my feedback.

my god...

You should REALLY do more research. The guy above me has everything right.

Altho the difference in calories burned between ice cold water and water on regular temperature is minor, it is STILL there. It's using common sense.

And myth five, you've never seen a bodybuilder eat or have no id how the body works do you? Yes, you HAVE to eat more to keep your gains. It's why some people get stuck at a specific weight if they don't eat more. The added muscle needs calories for functioning and additional proteins to repair. Think about it, according to your theory an elephant wouldn't need more food than a mice to stay alive.

So in conclusion

1 is NOT a myth, it has proven advantages
2 is a myth
3 is a myth, altho it's more confusion
4 is NOT a myth, but it's not going to make that much of a difference
5 is pure sience, read more about how our body works before writing this off as a myth!
