Thanks for this article! I have a trail that runs the perimeter of where I live. I watch people walk it everyday, but never even contemplate using it. I Always do my cardio indoors.
Not today! I am going to at least start today walking outside. I will only need to wear a watch to monitor my time.

Outdoors = Fun vs Indoord = Boring

Started doing cardio indoors but for the past month, my husband, our dogs and I have gone hiking on the weekends, trying to prepare for a mini vacartion (3 day backpacking). Each Monday when I go to the gym and get on that Arc Trainer times seems to go slower than it used to...I miss looking at the trees and the smells of the outdoor.

Plus, I think it gets you in better shape as there is no machine that an copy a true rocky hill.

I'll start incorporating some running though, my leggs need it.
