Pete Sisco: Exercise - How Little Do You Need?

The fact is, every sport - even a finesse sport like golf - is improved by an increase in strength. Muscles are responsible for all movement in the body and stronger muscles will deliver more power to every aspect of movement, irrespective of its range of motion.

Pete Sisco's Static Training

My training partner, who onced weighed 160 pounds, was determined to gain 5 pounds of muscle. He would of been so happy just to be 165. I talked him into training once per week (on sundays at the time), with 3 - 4 exercises, and the main lift was the Static deadlift. Workout 1 he needed help to pick up 225 pounds from the floor. 3 workouts later he was lifting 300 pounds by himself. Oh, and what actually made him happy, was the fact that monday morning after his 4th workout.... he weighed 181 pounds. Yes, im saying he gained 21 pounds. All muscle? Im not sure. What i AM sure of is that he was stronger, much stronger, and his triceps and delts were very impressive to me. If he did gain fat, which is of course very possible,... he still looked good as his abdominal outline was easy to see. I cant gain anything by selling you on this type of lifting ( static holds). It dosnt matter to me how you train. All i want to say is its worth a try. Worth a try? Read the article. It might just be the best thing youve read in a long time.

I started a few weeks ago and am loving it too. I'm doing somr PFT and STC mixed together to get a feel what works for me. I feel stronger already and am still doing warm up sets in the full range of motion with lighter weights. I don't know how it will play out, but, so far so good. I am busy and prefer not taking a lot of time to workout if I can get better results in less time.
