review or taste test?

hey man, although you did give fair write ups to the two bars, i think the fact that the bulk of the SCORE was based on taste and satisfaction might lead people to see the number and misjudge the quality of the bars. as bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts we eat stuff all the time that most people think tastes like crap (raw tuna, plain brown rice, egg whites, etc). i for one think bars are ALL crap, but if you HAVE to pick one you should pick the one that is best for you, not tastes the best and is the most satisfying. if not, then why eat a protein bar at all? the best tasting and most satifying bar would be a snickers or twix!!
to me it would be more helpful if you based the scores more on the quality of the ingredients and their overall benefit or lack thereof in a bodybuilders diet.

From the top of the article:

***Note: I am doing these reviews from a fitness enthusiast/average person trying to get in shape point of view, not solely a competitive bodybuilder.

I was doing these reviews more for the general public than bodybuilders

that's cool. but at the risk of sounding argumentative, i don't think the general public is really reading these forums. its all good though. i did find your reviews to be informative and well written. my only concern was about the overall scoring system, but no hatin' here.

Maybe I will do two scoring systems:
1. General Public
2. Bodybuilders

Sound good?

BB.com gets a TON of traffic from people of all fitness backgrounds. Trying to give people that aren't die hard bodybuilders something they can use.

Eat real food. Protein bars are glorified candy bars filled with sugar OR artificial sweeteneers.

You don't want either in your body.

Nothing beats real food.
