what about

Arnold and Franco did do plenty of Incline bench presses, bench presses, dips, pull-overs and flyes, which influenced their pec development significantly more than a few sets of 5 in barbell military presses. However, I do think this minimalist approach would work for someone who has time constraints. I'd like to see a mass program where the barbell clean and press is the main exercise, but intersperesed with traditional bodybuilding exercises: rows, weighted pull-ups and chin-ups, heavy ab and calf work, bench presses, dips. This would be a functional hypertropy routine, but taking into account metabolic adaptations too. Otherwise, great job Mike. You' re always a pleasure to read and one of the shrewedest trainers out there.

metzrs is on a distinguished road. (+10)
Thumbs down

Another effort to advertise kettlebell... a really pointless means of training when you hav access to dumbells!!! Plus kettlebells can seriously damage your wrists!
