I think you misunderstand what a company means when they say 100% whey isolate.

They do not mean that 100% of the contents in the tub is whey isolate. What they mean is that every gram of protein is whey isolate.

So if a 30g scoop yeilds 25g of protein and 25g of the 25g is whey isolate - then you have a protein that is 100% whey isolate.

And that is completely possible. Just because optimum doesn't spend the money to do so, doesn't mean it isn't possible.
