I just love when people try to compare muscular recover to something like having your hair cut.

Ok, today I had it. 4 months without gaining any size to my biceps (I added some strength though..) I'm gonna try this revolutionary method consisting of... seated barbell curls...and if I'm up from 15,5 to 16,5 inches in 3 workouts, or even 3 months...I'll send all bb.com members a framed picture of my arm with a "Made by Pete Sisco" tatoo on it.

heheh... I wont tatoo my arm with a guys name! Trust me, it just wont happen! A miracle is needed to make my arms suddenly grow an inch in 3 months, when they havent changed in the latest 3...
If that inch ever happens this year it means champagne for all forum members!

took advice as given. took 2 weeks completely off. did three sessions, spaced 4 days apart. went crazy on 4 exercises per session. used spotter and everything. stuffed protein. Result: nil.
wasted time. back to normal gains. patience is a virtue.

The only time my biceps put on any appreciable size, was when I worked my squat up to 405 for multiple sets and reps. My legs and back grew pretty good too.
It took me 18 months to work fro 225 to 405 but man was it worth it. The foundational muscle you build is something that you keep.

I see. So, its not the range of motion and quality of the reps you perform that builds size, its heavy ass weights at a 1/3 of the actual range of motion that creates growth. All I gotta do to build quad size then is load the bar with 700lb and do quarter reps to build size

Blastin the power
I took two weeks off, then blasted by arms with heavy dose of hardcore mega sets. Then I went home and looked in the mirror. Guess what? No changes. My arms are the same size, and my under-developed penis is looking as pathetic as ever.
Well, now I'm going to sprinkle some anabolic steriods into my cereal and get back to the gym.

I just don't get why this Pete guy thinks his vague plan of arm workouts is actually going to make results. I mean, most people do exercises like those anyways, or exactly like that.
Bio science isn't anything magical. I love all these guys who come out with these "workout plans" that are a sure "slam dunk." When to most serious trainers they are just another workout plan. An inch in a week isn't physically possible, even with "outside assistance. "
(and sorry for overusing ""'s )

I looked at this article and I love the way he makes the whole complex art of building biceps sound so simple. At times I may "over-train" I'm sure everyone does but this program would obviously under-train your arms.
Articles like this prey on peoples vulnerability for a quick fix answer to big gains!

I've seen my best gains by sticking to proper form on weights that I can handle. It's a slow process as everyone knows and there is no quick fix. If you are not a genetic freak you have to accept that.

This is the smartest reply I've heard so far. Proper form and hitting the muscle on the sweet spot will give you the best gains. I did curls the other day and saw that I was not doing it in perfect form and made an adjustment. I did them again with less weight, but, concentrated on form alone and felt a big difference. I'm no genetic freak, but, it was nice to feel like I worked them properly for once.

I have tried this before. Once when I was just getting into bodybuilding I gained .5". I tried it a few months later with a good diet and at almost a full inch gained .75". The success was great, I tried it the week before new years, and nothing. I believe you can pull this off if your a newb once or twice. After over a year of training, this won't do jack.

Anyone who has never worked out before and starts lifting will gain musle mass easily and fast at first..when I started I was losing fat, eating like ****, and I was getting bigger fast, but once that's over you have to work hard for results!

Could I cycle this workout with workouts on my ab king pro? Surely I'd get huge guns in a fortnight?

Lol, I see how it workds. You take 2 weeks off all strength training so your arms go down 2 inches and you get one inch back in the 3 workouts! Genious! lol
