Interesting. Why don't we ever "adapt" to the bench press, squat or deadlift?

Even in something as simple as a bicep curl. You can give it all the different names you want, In the end all you are doing is bending your elbow. Sooner or later, if your theory is correct, You'd adapt to every type of bicep curl and stop growing all together.

You do adapt to those exercises, just not completely. That is why if you just went into the gym and did the exact same exercises in the same order every day you would get no where.

Really? Why don't you adapt to the bench press "Completely"?

How many people do heavy squats last in the work out?


Power lifters are only concerend with lifting as much as humanly possible in those 3 lifts and they don't seem to have much trouble packing on size anywhere else.

I have yet to see any published research stating that you can "confuse" a muscle into growing.
