Thumbs down reply

The article was helpful, especially the GI section. But I don't feel that that is how the pump is acheived, when i go a heavy session with 4 different exercises for one muscle group, i barely feel a pump, but when i did two bicep exercises just pulsing out light weighted reps quickly with short rest times, my arms went from 15' to 16' and it felt like my skin was about to rip open. Why is that if it only has to do with eating low GI carbs?
