Thumbs up A Sad Story With A Somewhat Happy Ending

Having grown up in the same era (I was 13 in 65 and reading Muscle Builder) and having Dave Draper as my hero, I was somewhat surprised with the real truth of what was happening behind the scenes at Weider. I am not too naive to realize that Weider was making the money but that kind souls like Dave were being taken advantage of to that degree. Being 53 now I am able to see that sort of thing happening and recognize it for what it is. It is truly unfortunate that guys like Dave (nice guys) tend to finish last all to often. Most of us can easily relate to Dave's successes/failures and admire him for his honesty and humility. I believe it is for these reasons that he is so very popular with us baby boomers. His gift to this muscle building sport goes well beyond his flare for writing and unsurpassed knowledge of training and nutrition. I for one admire and appreciate Dave's sincere interest in everyone that crosses his path. He is truly a wonderful person and still remains my hero!
