Most of my contact with Team Steinmetz (
http://TeamSteinmetz.com) has been with Shiloe. While I was active with NABBA, IFBB, and NPC, Shiloe was active in the natural competition circuit. I had no knowledge of the specifics, other than the photos I occasionally came across.
When I approached Shiloe, I was surprised to learn how formidable his record had become. By 2003, he had reached professional status in four natural federations. As of 2004, he pursued bodybuilding in the NPC, where he took six overall titles of the fifteen competitions he entered. In 2006, he scored a strong second place in the Heavyweight Class at the NPC Junior USA Bodybuilding Championships, three points behind Chad Ray Martin, and seven points ahead of third place. Three judges tagged Shiloe for first place.
Most notable about Shiloe is that his physique, although natural, has full, thickly-muscled development. Everything falls in outstanding symmetry, and his tapers (e.g. inner and outer quad flairs) are riveting.
Having been in this industry for about ten years, I've learned to question competitors who claim to be natural. There are only two I can think of that I feel convinced of their natural status:
1. Bill Davey;
2. Shiloe Steinmetz.
