Michael Roussell - Back To School Shopping And Supplements.

For those of us who are poor college students as well as many others on a tight budget there is usually little left for supplements. I have put together 3 supplement lists, the biggest of which is for those on a fixed budget.

About CEE

One thing to note about CEE, and how it can be so cheap, is the percent error in creating the batch. In order to make creatine ethyl ester, you have to bond an ester group to the creatine molecule. This is not the simplest task, and therefore, it often does not attach.

Though it might contain some propaganda towards Muscletech, here's an aricle I was reading from another site:
http://www.*********.net/article-cee.jsp

One thing to keep in mind is that, although they are a little pricey, the bigger brands are more realiable for their purity.

Also, in the defense of NO stimulators, you can't call a free radical "nasty" for having a very short half-life. Short half-lives mean that the free-radical won't do as much damage as free-radicals with longer half-lives.

Another thing in the defense of "Arginine Products", you answered your second question in the reading. "How can NO result in pumps that last for hours?" Simple: it's not the direct cause. Look at the paragraph above:

The arginine gets turned into nitric oxide which then activates guanylyl cyclase. Guanylyl cyclease converts GTP into cGMP which then mediates smooth muscle relaxation causing blood vessels to become bigger and increased blood flow.

Nitric Oxide is the second step in a four step process.

This was a nice article. Props to including a couple of Biotest powder supplements. Unfortunately, following the link for the Low-Carb Grow! powder finds you at a page telling you the product has been discontinued, when in fact it most certainly has not. One can purchase it at T-Nation.com, and it's available in Chocolate, Strawberry, Vanilla, Orange Cream and Banana. $22.50 for 2 pounds isn't real cheap, but it's a great product and it even tastes decent mixed with just water.

And if you haven't tried Surge, do yourself a favor and give it a shot. No pre-during-post workout concoction has come close for me in reducing soreness and giving me enough juice to get some solid lifts in at the end of my workout.

www.t-nation.com is one of my favorite sites on the web. Low Carb Grow and Surge are great supplements.

you always hear about people feeling light headed with NO products, postural hypotension is the cuase of this. yes NO is a vasodilator, but they only cuase postural hypotension so unless your experiencing syncope or vertigo its not a big deal. its a good idea but not really a big problem. i would definetly consult your physician before using it, and i would agree that they are a waste of money.

Good enough for me!

Great article, to take me to the next level for supplementing. I'm taking Whey, multi, and up until this article NO-Xplode, not any longer though. Being a student, this is a good demonstration of how to get the most bang for my buck.
