The article section was good...the "soft sell" and product plug of Cell-Tech was weak. Nothing was mentioned about post-workout protein consumption. Simply consuming a combination of metabolites (some of which degrade within minutes when exposed to the air) does not address the post-workout nutritional needs of hard training athletes...

Nothing! It is a great article that mentions thier product in 2 paragraphs. I am not going to post Muscletech type ads on our site. I really hate that.
I will keep it to a minimal. Do you think having 2 paragraphs turns it into an ad?

I think this is a great article as I definatley was having trouble keeping motivated to go to the gym 5 or 6 days a week. Of coarse I won't be using Cell-Tech but I'll definately give this workout program a shot.

Yeah, the workout is good....even though the product plug is sleazy...we get enough of the cell-tech plugs in the mags...

great article
The full body workout is a good article, i was exactly doing the same routine of exercises prescribed by a very good physical trainer and friend of mine before reading this article. The exercises are the same but the wrong thing i was doing was repeating the same order everyday. Thanks for the info.
I think minimal advertising is acceptable in these days where the site cannot survive without income.
keep up the good work bodybuilding.com

The site cannot survive without income? Give me a break! This is bodybuilding.com, not some crappy newsstand rag. MuscleTech does not pay BB.com to advertise - BB.com published this article because of its content, not because of the product plug. Again, BB.com does NOT accept money from MuscleTech for advertising...

It's always good to switch up excercises or even entire workout programs every few months.

I have a few questions about this program.
1. Where are the oblique and lower back exercises?
2. Do we HAVE to lift heavy if were a distance runner? (20 reps)
3. possible to staitionary bike after every few exercises?

asqwt,
we left out oblique and lower body exercises just to keep the full-body workout shorter and faster. Of course, you can always add in a stationary bike and no you don't need to lift heavy.

lowerbody as in lowerback right? wat other lower parts are ya guys missin?
and u kno some examples of oblique exercises or u think it wouldnt be bad for an xc/ track runner to not lift lower backs and obliques specifically because lowerback is used in squats and oblique im assuming is part of abs kinda?

I can't imagine gaining anything from doing that workout 2-3 times a week and pounding Cell Tech right afterwards. This is not something that I would personally recommend to anyone.
If the product plug wasn't done for advertising then that's just plain bad advice. There are a ton of products that are better and cheaper than Cell Tech. Cell Tech is what 10 years old? Creatine and Hawaiian Punch.

Give the workout a try a few times a week. If you feel that we're missing exercises that you need for your particular purposes, feel free to substitute. You can find oblique exercises by searching on the BB.com supersite.
Yes, lower back is an ancillary group in squats, but you should train it on its own as well. As always, consult your physician before beginning any fitness program.
Thanks for the support,
Victor

Full body (Back, chest, legs, triceps, biceps, calves, shoulders, abs)
Full body (Legs, calves, back, abs, shoulders, chest, biceps, triceps)
Full body (Chest, shoulders, back, biceps, triceps, abs, legs, calves)
where should i put hamstrings and lower back in each full body workout?

When you do squats or bent over rows, you're hitting the lower back.

Doing It Already
I am currently following this Total Body Workout. I've been at it for 5 weeks but due to life accurances stopped for 2 weeks. I also can't go any heavier since I do not belong to a gym. I'm limited to what I have at home. So when I workout, it's more like cutting instead of bulking.
It does however, yield results in all areas worked. Which is why after I purchase 4-10lbs. and 2-5lbs. plates and 2-30lbs. dumbbells, I'll continue for another 6 weeks to make up for the time I've lost.
