I dunno about this article. All these exercises I do already but I cant seem to see how they would really hit the Biceps full on. Its the only article I've read that says you need to increase mass all over to gain large arms (abit like saying you have attain 10% fat to ever see your stomach again). Im pretty skepticle as I dont wanna use precious time on something like the programs mentioned in this article.

Precious time? You miss the entire point as the program is based on compound exercises that are proven mass makers. Bent over rows, weighted pull-ups, weighted dips, military presses, bench presses etc will build bigger arms than curls or isolation exercise for one obvious reason: You can handle far more weight on those exercises than isolation exercises. take a look at powerlifters, they have huge arms by focusing on compound movements.

Holy smoke.
It's way harder to go all out on this program than on the regular "high volume" program with multiple sets and various excercises.
It's like you have to go all out on a 100 meter run. Try to run it so hard so in a few minutes you won't be able to run even close to that time. That's how you must do this workout.
And if you do - you just feel how well it's designed.
Because I can't even squeeze my regular calves workout on a training day, so drained I am. Time for a big shake.
Thanks Mike and looking forward to post my pics in about couple month and win the Tranformation of the week contest.

RE:incoporation of cardio?
When would be a good time to do cardio if i follow this program?Immediately after my weights work out?Or do i do cardio one day after that(i.e,on the rest days)?

Finished first 4 weeks, done 1 workout on 5x5 phase.
The only problem I noticed with the first phase - too much load on the lower back - deads, squats and rows on one day and especially by on the 3 and 4th week - when you really can push yourself real hard and feel all the weights.
Lower back gets too sore.
Otherwise - everything went great and I overally was getting very sore on week 4 - so was looking forward to start a two day split.
I was doing about 30-45 minutes of cardio on off days 4 times a week, and 3 days - abs/calves before cardio.
On sundays I did some running outside - treadmill is no comparison to a regular outside jogging. Either way distance usually was around 3 miles - takes me about 25-30 minutes to complete - not too fast not too slow.
Or I did elliptical machine for about half hour - 45 minutes - around 600-800 calories at a time. (Level 15 out of 15) Love that machine. Kicks butt.
Time to eat. Bye

I think it's okay to talk anonymous smack if they post their pics. Mike looks awesome, then you find out he's a vegan. Strength training is not exactly the same thing as bodybuilding, but an important part of any balanced program.
If MM wanted to take up more space I am sure he could. CHeck out some steroid sites where people post pics. You will see a rack of people who get nutty and don't have as much to show for it as the freaky kettlebell and clubbell fanatic who left Virginia to live somewhere like Santa Monica.
Another acceptable way of dissing MM would be to get his video, check out what he is doing with 32 kg bells, and make your own video with 48's . That would put him in his place. Keep up the good work MM, your video is awe inspiring.
All you haters try to remember that professional MMA fighters, cops and others who rely on real strength to make a living/stay alive pay this man for what he knows. I guess I get a little upset when MM gives us an article for free and folks get rammy. Where is your article Mr. Hater? If you know more than MM about strength training we would like to read it.

Thanks for the support and do do not worry, I never train with light 70lb bells anymore and will have footage with the 105lb bell on the next DVD

R U for real? now I hate you too I just got your video from bb.com and your book from your site. I am entertaining myself with regular dbs' ( a measly 38 lbs) trying to bust some of your moves.
That does it, I am putting another 5 lbs on those bells and buying some miso... I'll be looking for your new video.

I sent you, Mike mahler, an email with a few questions regarding this program but wanted to throw these out there as well. Thanks!

I've never heard of the "Finishers" idea. Would you mind elaborating on this concept? Btw, good article

A bit of everything
This article may be trying to work the arms as the primary muscle but it also has some good workouts for other secondary muscle groups.

personally i found most growth in my arms from isolastion exercises, especailly skullcrushers and db curls, and really focusing on my arm training with a seperate workout
to be honest it all seems a bit generic, things we have heard 100x before, and always from a strength coach, however i dont dispute the effectiveness of the exercises you listed for building mass, but for people like me (strong torso, weak arms) doing only these movements resulted in a greater muscular imbalance between my arms and torso, and direct arm training is crucial for impressive arms, of course this is only my experience
