Be smart
You think guys would learn after the ordeal that former USA superstar Dennis Newman went through a few years back. Did you ever make the connection that the appearance of your belly button could be just another sympton of the same gear that made you require chemo in the first place? Guess what is a possible proven side effect of excessive GH use in some individuals? Play safe boys, is it really worth a plastic trophy? Let's see...Tom Prince, Don Long, Andreas Munzer, Momo Benaziza, Don Youngblood, ....just to name a few

dude, don't go accusing him. Belly buttons sticking out can be genetic as easily as they can be from androgens/GH. He competed in musclemania which is a tested division. Though I do agree with your assessment of the drugs in bodybuilding

Brad Borland here...
Hey guys,
No, I have not used any drugs whatsoever... The belly button protruding is actually an umbilical hernia which my doctor has said I can live with if it does not hurt. i have competed in the NGA (drug tested) and Musclemania (drug tested). I have not competed in any nontested organization nor do I wish to. Thank you to those who have stood up for me. You can read more about me at www.bradborland.com. And, yes my brother and father had the same disease. I have been acused (as with anyone who has touched a weight) of steroid use many times, but I am now 31, in great health, and ALIVE.
Stay drug free!
Brad

As someone who has known Brad for a very long time...and very personally, I can put my hand to God and swear the the only drugs in that man's system was chemo...and I promise you, it did not improve his bodybuilding. And just so you know, that's a very serious accusation to be making of someone, and completely untrue.

Truly inspirational! It is amazing what you have been through. As a fellow competitor I am in awe that you could go through the cancer and come out ready to fight and compete after the battle you had been through. Good luck with life and thanks for sharing your story!
