orally ingested IGF-1 will not survive the gut in whole peptide form. Even if IGF-1 was present in whey in significant amounts... which it is usually not in whey protein concentrate & almost certainly not in isolate (unless added) it should not make it into circulation in any quantifiable amounts.

only with diets high in animal sources and they have yet to discern whether this is due to the protein content or something else... so as of yet, no definitive relationship

They did a test with the urine sample collected for 2 days plus 4 different blood tests. In every test my protein level was too high plus every test was done 3 times for 3 different doctor on 3 different hospitals. The blood test identify few different things as far as the funtion of my kidneys. I'm not a doctor so after the 3rd one I didnt ask any more questions. They tried to put me on a diet of 90grams of protein a day to bring my kidney back to a normal level. I didnt follow the diet, I just drink more water than normal.

those tests they did are just 'markers' they are not final indicators though doctors try to use them as such. unless you have a filtration rate/kidney function test actually done, there is no absolute certainty your kidneys have a problem

I guess one of the test is the one you just mentioned. But I dont think I have a real problem with my kidneys. So that means that the 3 doctors are wrong?

not nessecarily... i'd have to talk to all of them. I think your diagnosis is probably right, but I don't think the cause is high protein... at least not by itself

Here's what you do:
1.5 grams of protein per lb of bodyweight
BMR = 66 + (13.7 x weight in kg) + (5 x height in cm) - (6.8 x age)
Then multiply that number by the appropriate number:
1.0--Sedentary
1.2--Very light activity
1.4--Light activity
1.6--Moderate activity
1.8--High activity
2.0---Extreme activity
The result is the number of calories you need to maintain. Multiply by 20% and subtract it from your maintenance if you need to lose weight. Multiply by 20% and add to your number if you want to gain mass. Number of carbs and fats don't matter, as long as you get your fatty acids. It's all in the protein and cals. All up in yo face
