I have really bad stretch marks acorss both biceps and the back of my shoulders - which all came from one workout!
I don't think there is much you can do, aloe vera is meant to help but I've tried a few things with nothing working, all you can really do is try and get a tan and wait for them to fade.
Having got a tan the left bicep looks a lot better but the right bicep looks just as bad, very deep and purplish - that was the arm I put most of the creams on!

this is just what i needed, i got some bad stretch marks on my biceps now, and was wondering what to do about this
but since i've learned from the article that it's scar tissue i'm at my believe that the vitmin E and other don't do squat IMO
i'm one walking scar, i have some real bad ones all over my body, the only thing that worked for me was an injection right in the scar (it's a scar on my face left cheek) after 3-4 this every 1-2 weeks i noticed that is was getting less and less and even the people around me noticed those vitamins and things don't do anything i can tell you first hand that that's true i've tried every possible thing around and it didn't evne faid a bit, you got to go to your docter for this,
next time i go i'l ask what he's giving me, and it's a omniopatic docter (don't know how you say this, someone who doesn't use engineerd cures, but used plants and stuff)
thats just my two cents

i also have really bad stretch marks over my two biceps and armpit area, for the last month i have been using this product called FRUIT OF THE EARTH ALOE VERA CRYSTAL CLEAR GEL 100% aloe vera, this type of lotion has helped faded away most of my stretch marks within just a month or so applying it once a day before bed, just thought i share it with you guys, i bought the bottle for about $8 from RITE AID, but im sure you can get it from WALGREEN also. here is a picture of what the bottle looks like, it is a clear gel bottle, you see it when u visit the website's main page.

Just an FYI, I've found that tanning really helps with stretch marks. My stretch marks look much better now. They are not red anymore and close to the color of my skin.

Stretch Marks
I have horrid ones from using asthma medications for 10 years. SUCKS!!
I have ones on my thighs that have gotten huge. They even look like pits where its as if I have pressed my thumb and left and indention. Some crack and bleed and its depressing as hell. I am currently using this stuff called TriLastin www.trilastin.com Just started it so can't speak on its claims, but I pray it works cause they seem to be getting worse over time. The company claims results in just 3 weeks with complete results in 2 - 3 months... Who knows.

I also used mederma and saw no results, on my lower/middle back though I have like a 5 inch by 5 inch area about that has all these strretch mark looking things and I went to the doctor and they cut a peice of it out and did a biopsy(sp)and said its probly just stretchmarks and that was over a year ago and now it looks alot better.. so just saying that I think stretch marks can get better over time without putting anything on it..

mine have gotten pretty bad..Biceps, pits, sides, lower abs, hips, and I even notice some on my upper leg that have already faded. It seems like I must have had a bunch in my pits already, because the skin in certain areas feels weird/different, and there's like.. deep marks, but they're exactly the same tone as the surrounding skin.
Really sucks, I tend to obsess over them too. My dermatologist told me the cream I had used for acne, retin-a, worked the best for them. I used it for a while, but then I was put on accutane, so I had to stop all topical treatments.
I would go to an extreme like surgery, if it were possible. They're freakin everywhere. Oh well, if anyone wants to mess with me because of stretch marks, they're in for a fight either way haha

stretch mark remedy
As a woman I am obsessed with taking care of my skin and did develop unsightly stretch marks. Since then they have faded to the point that they are unnoticeable and I believe some have disappeared. Normal skin care products can make matters worse due to the chemicals added to them as cheap alternatives to unharmful natural remedies.
I found Extra Virgin Olive Oil (organic cold pressed is even better) mixed with a few drops of lavendar oil and sweet almond oil does the trick. Just pour a bit in your bath or use as a moisturiser after a shower and you should notice the difference in less than a month.
It provides your skin with the natural vitamins it needs. It also lasts for ages. Beware that the olive oil takes a few washes to get out of material so make sure it soaks into your skin for around a minute before putting on your clothes. Hope this proves a big help for all the SM sufferers striving to look and feel good.
Good luck

Other Causes of stretch marks
Hey guys,
You should also be aware of the fact that stretch marks can be caused by improper lifting techniques. Gaining muscle does not expain how many of us have stretch marks that appear all within one workout. It also does not explain how some people can get them in their elbow creases, and joints where streching of the skin due to growth is not an issue unless you are Cutler's size.
They can occur when you lower a weight too fast, taking the stress off the muscles, which leads to the hyperextension of loose joints. Picture someone bouncing a bar off their chest... By lowering the bar too fast, they extend their arm too low, without enough tension on the muscle, and the skin stretches. That's how we all walk away from an intense workout with brand new purple rips in our skin.
I hope this helps some of you guys prevent future stretch marks!
Peace.

referring back to the TriLASTIN post i have used it religiously for 6 months now and i have absolutely no marks left on my biceps or pec-delt tie in area. I HAD severe stretch marks left over from rapid muscle gains and was devasted by the appearance of them. I mean you go to the gym to get a better body and end up looking worse, but i have to say i swear by this stuff and it works for the deepest stretch marks. I agree its one hell of a price to keep paying out but if u want the job done i wudn't look anywhere else. and it's ideal for any skin colour and even for those desperate ladies!!!
Guys stop wasting your money on apparent cure treatments, and give this a try for a few months and see if notice the difference!
Good Luck
Ross

You're All WRONG!!!!
Stretch marks are not caused my the skin stretching or improper lifting techniques, its actually all to do with "CORTISOL"
Check out this article in dermadoctor.com
http://www.dermadoctor.com/pages/new...91F5B467E40%7D
Its the most informed article ive read on stretch marks on the net!!!!
Im currently taking :-
1) Phosphatidyl Serine - 600mg
2) Ester C (vitamin C) - 1000mg
Both have been show in clinical trials to lower base line cortisol levels in train athletes.
Hope all this Helps!!!!

Personally, you guys might think I am a bit sad, but I love my stretch marks lol. They are like battle scars to me and signs of hard work. Though I do admit that those nasty really deep ones in visable places look a bit dodgy.

Testing Grounds
I am not a bodybuilder, but stretch marks are stretch marks right? I have tested the following creams: Maderma, Barmons and Trilastin and here is the scoop. Maderma didn't do a thing. Barmons faded the color and trilastin tightened the skin around my belly button due to pregnancy but very little and nothing more. Don't think that because Tyra banks is endorsing it that it actually works. I'm sure they paid her a pretty penny to endorse and I was dumb enough to fall for it. Strangly the best results I recieved was with Barmons which is not the cheapest but certainly not the most I've spent either. All my stretch marks are now white but the texture as well as the depth is still very rocky. I just want my old skin back, not a new pair of breast, lip injections or anything of that sort just the old me back. I will not give up until I discover the cream that actually does as it says. I'm basically a testing ground and I will be receving my next cream, Elastin 3 this week.My next cream's are elastefirm and strivectin and if neither of those work then I don't know where else to turn, but I can't give up.There is no way I will ever resort to surgery. I will keep you all posted.
Signed,
Me
