ny pro no-show
i have gone to the NOC/NY Pro the last 5/6 years having missed the last. i am sad to say that i am not at all disappointed about that fact. first of all, although i wanted to go to the most recent competition, i could not find any information whatsoever regarding purchasing tickets, where the show was, where the pro's were staying, and where the after party was. apparently, the people who were supposed to sell the tickets (bev francis gym) didn't even know that they were selling tickets to the show and would recommend you call back later or leave a message which was surely not to be returned. another complaint i have is the female competition. if i wanted to see female bodybuilders then i would attend their competition, but i don't want to so don't include them w/ the mens show. last years show was less entertaining going back and forth b/w men and women. and finally, why is this show not drawing the top male competitors (although i think the answer lies in the above statements)? i remember when cutler and ruhl and dexter and priest and dillet among other top competitors competed in this event. unfortunately, the NY pro for the most part is not a who's who of men's professional bodybuilding, but a who might be somebody someday in mens professional bodybuilding.
