Well I don't know if this is where to post this but I'm going to anyway. The article states that Franco could deadlift close to 700 pounds. Franco could do 700 pounds in his sleep. I've read that he has done around 650 for 10-12 reps! In Arnolds Encyclopeia there is a picture of him deadlifting 740. Also it is stated that he could bench press close to 500. I'd imagine that he could do 500 without a problem. Franco was one strong mother ****er. Stronger than what this article states. It's important to note that Franco was only around 5'2"-5'4" therefore deadlifts would technically be easier for him than say somene like Arnold who was over 6'.

As a bodybuilder myself, I have been extremely fortunate to have trained under the mentorship of Reg Park at Morningside Virgin Active, for several years. It has been through his constant attention to detail and his watchful eye in the gym that I have managed to fine-tune my physique into the machine it is today. Many personal trainers spend more time appeasing their clientele by listening to their weekend conquests and coffee-shop banter, than they do actually training them. With multiple incorrect training routines and little scientific explanation as to their training techniques, one wonders how many of these fitness personnel became certified in the first place. Reg Park is an exception and a true legend. He is a no-nonsense, hardcore trainer, instructor and mentor. His toughness exudes in his professionalism and his demeanor. It has been an honor to work side-by-side this bodybuilding legend and personal friend.
