You went from a 24 to a 23? I will be straight up honest with you. That is slow. It all depends what age you are of course. But I am in high school looking to swim D1 college and I swim a 21.32. And I am only a Junior. The way to go about working out and swimming is a major balance.
.) If one is to work out. The swimmer must and I repeat MUST stretch after he/she has workout out. Flexiblity is key to swimming, even if your a sprinter.
.) Dont take creatine supplements. They will kill your liver.
.) Look whats inside of the protein supplements you are about to take. They could contain banned ingrediants by the USSA.
.) If you want the swimmer's body, easy to achieve.....just swim. Duh
.) Resistance cords or known as stretch cordz are amazing for you.
.) Last of all but not least. If you want to improve your looks with muscles but swimming is your sport and you don't want to ruin it. Then take up CROSS FITNESS. Works muscles and fast twitch muscles. Best thing ever to do.
