I am pretty disapointed in the selection of the top 3 for the topic of the week. I had every single person in the top 7 right, almost exactly with their places. (lee priest 4-6) (darrem charles around 5th)(vic/melvin outside 5th) and had the top 3 exactly right (the only person to do so), and I didn't even place in the top 3.
The first place guy had a really good thesis behind it, but didn't even mention the fact that darrem charles and melvin anthony were legit contenders and saying troy alves will place well ( I didn't have him in top 7, and guess what, he was 8th.)
The second place guy said that lee priest looked better than gustavo and placed him higher... when 2 weeks ago at the ironman pro, this was already proven wrong. Didn't have anything correct about cormier, and said that flex wheeler was fighting titus. What happened to that?
The third place guy was who I thought should win if I didn't. He had the right 7 people, wrong positions, but right people. Only person reasonably close to my predictions and the right predictions.
In all I thought it was sorta bs, that although they may have wrote more fancy than I did, doesn't mean they have any knowledge on the sport.
I think this was just wrong.

Hey, thank you very much!!
And congratulations Ifrit on a well deserved first place... I could see from all your posts about the TOTW, you really wanted it.
Will, how exactly do I go about obtaining the store credit? Thanks again!

I actually discussed the Ironman Pro ranking, mentioning how I thought it was a mistake just like the Dexter/Gustavo dispute at the Olympia. In my No. 3 placing for Badell, I explained my hypothesis:
"The Puerto Rican Gustavo surprised bodybuilding fans when he took third place at the Olympia from bookie's favorite Dexter Jackson. It was equally surprising to a lot of us that he snatched the 2005 Ironman from Lee Priest at a whopping 250 pounds and in spot-on competition shape.
He has the symmetrical build and aesthetic lines that could well place him above Chris Cormier, but it's doubtful that the Ironman results will recur this time around, and that he will be placed over Priest.
Although he has some very eminent strengths - an excellent combination of mass and aesthetics, and superb conditioning - he lacks the density Lee has in the arms and legs.
Onstage, I suspect Lee Priest will probably come out looking better." With regard to your second point, I mentioned the rumored Ken Wheeler vs. Craig Titus fight, that was how I had heard about it, and I thought I would add it in as one of the things to potentially look out for.
My belief with regard to Cormier was that with the "updated" physiques of the other competitors - Priest's combo of density and conditioning from the Ironman, Gustavo's growth in mass and Dexter's touted astheticism subsequent to the '04 Olympia - I thought that Cormier would be beat, and wind up in fourth place. Clearly the judges did not agree, and I'll admit that his physique surprised me, VERY asthetic if not as good as Dexter, decent mass to contend with Badell and hard conditioning to hold his own against Priest.
Incidentally, my predictions weren't excessively far off either.
I predicted:
1. Dexter
2. Lee
3. Gustavo
4. Cormier (hence my mention of him in the first Q&A)
when what happened was
1. Dexter
2. Cormier
3. Gustavo
4. Lee
You just switch one around and you have it.
Similar to yours which was:
1. Dexter
2. Cormier
3. Gustavo
4. Darrem
5. Lee
6. Martinez
as opposed to what happened (wrong predictions in caps)
1. Dexter
2. Cormier
3. Gustavo
4. LEE
5. MELVIN
6. DARREM
Order wise, that's still three wrong, but I give you lots of credit for guessing the top 3 right. Not trying to rip into you or anything (seriously), just pointing out that even though you made a very good, solidly substantiated post, it wasn't a whole lot closer to the original than any of the winners' posts. Ifrit's had the order wrong (Cormier, Gustavo, Dexter), I misjudged one spot, and Martial Artist got the order of the top 3 wrong too (Cormier, Gustavo, Dexter). Now all I'm saying is it's not like the only reason we won is because, in your own words, we "wrote more fancy than you".

I understand, you all had great posts, but it was called who will win the arnold classic. I told you the top 7 places. I should have won based off of that. Every place, top 3 in order, plus 4-7 basically exactly how it was. I am just stating some facts. Wouldn't you be pissed if you got all 7 right and got no credit at all?

I'd like to say that I don't take offense to what you are saying but I'd be lying. The webmaster said " Give your "opinion" on who will be in the top three and give full detalis for why you beleive it will go down that way." I think I put alot of detail in it, hell I even know how Dexter Jackson likes his steak cooked now. It took me 5 hours to research and post what I did so you can see why what you said offended me. I knew nothing at all about competition or the guys in it except Lee Preist but I did my homework so I could form an opinion. I edited mine after seeing UliqMadig's post because it was so good and I really wanted to win. I welcome the competition because it only makes me step up even more. I will say good job on guessing the top 7 like that though. Where are the winners posted besides here because I didn't see it until I read this?

Bump on how to receive the store credit, I'm dieting and in some need of some stuff, lol. And thank you for the win, UliqMadiq is right, after getting second last time I wanted to win soooooo bad I could taste it. I'm always looking for ways to prove myself and what I know because as a trainer some people expect you to "work their core" and all that nonsense nowadays.
