the point about the goalkeepers makes sense, but so does the point about midfielders.

That is why midfielders and their skills should be examined either as defensive or attacking. Therefore their strength training methods should also be planned depending on their position on the field of play."

this is true. I myself have seen that soccer players all train similarly.
