I agree with bob's assessment of the challenge round though I tend to disagree with the abs/thigh as I thought ronnie did better than most as the abs thigh pose is only 1/2 abs... it is also about thighs and hardly anyone touches ronnie on thighs.
I was backstage for the women's bodybuilding as I was suppossed to be an awards presenter for scivation. Long story short, it didn't happen which doesn't bother me... what does bother me is how unorganized everything was... I mean this is supposse to be the pinnacle of bodybuilding and the people were running around like chickens with their heads cut off (part of the reason I never presented an award). It's an insult to the athletes who bust their ass to get in shape for this show and I thought it was a smack in the face.
I agree with bob on all points about the challenge round. I liked the concept but I think it was poorely implemented... as he said no way it should have been as close as it was... it also took away the suspense from the trophy presentations.
I didn't see the meeting the day before but it sounds a bit like a circus. I mean I don't understand the point of gettting everyone all rialed up and people getting in each other's faces and smack talking and what not.... I mean if the powers that be in bodybuilding wish for it to be taken seriously as a sport then they have to cut this out. Now if they want it to be totally for entertainment and more like the WWE then that's fine... but they can't straddle the line.
Great time though, and it was great to see Ryan Deluca again
