I did a total of five contests in seven weeks and overall I was very happy with my performance. I hit my peak well almost every week...

much respect to you for your deddication, there were many times when people criticized you and tried to put you down, but you kept focused with your goals and still competed, good luck with your future goals Layne.

Lacking body parts
Congratulation Layne, 2 out of seven is not bad, but I still asking you ..What happen with your back and legs? You really need to work hard on your lacking parts. I was telling you about your legs and back for few months , remember? You will looks better with few more ponds on your frame specially in those areas.

What you said was true. He is very average. Good thing is he is young and can improve tremendously and work on adding overall mass. He could use another 20 lbs. on his frame. His conditioning was very good but conditioning without muscle is only half the battle.

At least some one here with common sense. Every time I said something against Layne somebody get mad with me, also Layne get in my ass couple of days ago because he think that I'm insulting him with my comments. Like I said before, he need to improve in couple of areas and the only way to do it is with hard work, he need to work harder those areas. I agree with you, conditioning without muscle is only half. I have a question; Layne said that he had conditioning' but conditioning the only way to prove it is in an specific sport, How can we determing that Layne have conditioning just looking at him? I know I'm starting a battle with my comments' but guess what?...bring in on.
I'll try to poste the last emails tha Layne sent me couple of days ago. That way you guys understad what I'm talking about

I dont feel better with this, is not my style, is just the way I see it and my personal point of view. If you dont like the true dont bite it. I'll continue posting my point of view do you like it or not. When I said that you need to train hard, is true. I know you worked hard, is the only way you can win a competition, but you think that you will develop your lagging parts without training hard? That is my point, I dont try to make you feel bad but for GOD said you need to accept it. The only way you going to improve you body is training hard and hard every fuc... day. I being in this business longer than you Layne, if you take my comments the wrong way sorry. But you know I'm telling you the true. I know what I can do and I know my limits, that is why I cant compete. I have 3 herniated disk in my lower back and I cant do Squats anymore, for that reason my legs are not the way I want it see it. What the heck you think I feel after being told by the doctor 3 yrs ago that I can be in the wheel chair if I continue doing Squats or Deadlift? Do you think I'm doing this for me? is for you because even with your bad attitude sometimes, you have potential for bodybuilding. Dont let no body put you down. Take the comments and advices with positive attitude. Sometimes you will feel bad and sometimes not, but SUCK IT UP. Live is beautiful but not always.

B/c all I see is you trying to put me down after I busted my ass for those shows.

It is just not considered good etiquite to post them on the boards. I kept our conversations to PM to avoid this thread from turning into a flame war. Seems to be what you want though.

lol, you seem to think my life needs to revolve around you, you said you might be in the area but as I recall I had mid-terms the next week... so once again studying for mid-terms was a bit more important to me. You seem to try and imply that i'm trying to avoid you or that i'm scared of you or whatever. You can imply whatever you wish, I really don't care, I think most people can see the writing on the wall anyway. Now just drop the whole thing, your whole obsession with me is beginning to be somewhat creepy.

Layne,
As a fellow competitor, now entering the twilight of my career, having done over 60 shows, I've learned that we do not have to defend ourselves against any accusations from people who do not compete. Or even people who do.
I've discovered that once one achieves any modicum of success in any field, especially a subjective one such as bodybuilding, this is when all the critics come out. These same people will usually never achieve the same through hard work and dedication and the willingness to take risks and chances.
I stopped getting into pissing contests years ago when I came to the realization that it was raising my cortisol levels!
Continued success.
