There appears to be some discrepancy in the article, or at least a lack of clarity, as to the units for protein requirements he's discussing. There is some flipping between kilos and pounds, and it reads like an error. If it's correct as is, it is, at the very least, a little confusing.
From the "What Is The Optimal Amount....?" section:
"About 30 years ago, health departments set the recommended daily allowance (RDA) for protein at between 0.7 and 1.00 grams per kilogram of bodyweight..... It has since been suggested... that ... up to 1.7 grams of protein per kilogram of weight is closer to the mark...."
From the conclusion to his article:
"... early health department recommendation of 0.7-1.00 gram per kilogram of bodyweight. ... Now, many bodybuilders typically consume between 1-1.7 grams of protein or more per pound of bodyweight...."
