Anssi Manninen - GAKIC: The Ultimate Anti-Fatigue Agent?
These findings reinforce the notion that GAKIC supplementation may be a useful aid for strength-power athletes, similar to creatine supplementation.

Gakic - WOW!
OK, I'm usually a supplement skeptic, but wow. I haven't felt a surge like what this stuff gave me since I was juicing for football. I tried it for the first time last night. Here are my results:
I took the standard 1 scoop, following the directions. I followed my normal suppliment routine, as I normally do.
First let me say that
1. This stuff does not dissolve - at all. I recommend usng a small amount of hot water and taking it like medicine.
2. It tastes AWFUL. I gagged, and I've taken many things that were really bad. This may be the worst.
The container says 'instant results' or something to that effect. This is reasonably true as I felt the effects about 15 minutes are taking it.
Now, on to the lifting. I did bench because I feel like I have a pretty good 'guage' of my capabilities with flat bench. Prior to last night, I had an established max of 325, which I established 2 weeks ago. My max prior to that was 315.
I did some stretching (but not a lot) prior to the lift and sat on the exercise bike for about 10 minutes to get the blood flowing, but I didn't want to expend much energy prior to the lifts.
This went very easy, much easier than normal, so I popped right up to 315 for 3 reps, which I did relatively easily. (Pretty close to my max, so it wasn't 'easy' but you know what I mean)
The ease of this did suprise me, so I decided to go nuts and try a lift at 335. (10 pounds over my max) and then at the last second threw on the 2-1/2s which brought the lift up to 340. Which I was able to do once. I will say that it was H-E-A-V-Y and I wasn't sure I was going to make it, but I did.
I then followed on with some 1/2 bench, inclined, etc. And finished up my lifts. I had a marked increase in over-all energy and muscle endurance during this as well.
SO, I was, of course, elated with the result. Not every day that I jump 15 pounds on the bench!!! So of course the question then is how much of this is Gakic, and how much is my mind playing tricks on me.
I have to think that the Gakic played a significant role. I don't think that I was experiencing a 15 pound mental block. I had just re-established maxes 2 weeks ago, so I don't think I had a 15 pound increase in overall strength due strictly to regiment either. That doesn't seem possible.
Also, there was the feeling. For those guys out there who have used steroids, they'll know what I'm talking about. I felt that 'confident-strong' feeling. It wasn't as intense as steroids, but it was definitely there.
All in all, I'm impressed. I'll definitely be including this in my suppliment regiment from now on. And by the way, no I don't work for the company that makes it, I'm a computer guy and an amature powerlifter.
Once more though, I cannot stress enough how terrible this stuff tastes. It's awful. I mean, really, REALLY bad. My wife had a taste and it almost made her throw up. So, this isn't for those with a weak constitution. Also, one of the guys who works for me just tried it, and he said he has an upset stomach from it an hour or two later, so I don't know what that's about.
Anyway, that's it, good luck and good lifting!

Forgot one thing
I did a warm-up set at 225 for 5 reps. Forgot to mention that.

Update on my Gakic experience
Once again, not sure if this is mental or physical... but I think it has to be physical...
I've swapped back and forth a few times on the ol' Gakic train between the pills (which don't seem to last very long) and the powder (which tastes like death).
My experience... the powder (which really is the awfulest stuff ever) works W-A-Y better than the pills. I don't know why. I don't know if maybe I'm just crazy. But, my experience is that the pills affect me only marginally, whereas the powder really gives me a huge boost.
I've tried screwing around with adding some sugar, a glucotab, something, along with the pills with the thought that perhaps it was something like added sugar in the powder, but that's not it. I even tried grinding up the pills!
The long and short of it for me:
Powder = Good
Pills = Bad
Which is fine, the powder seems to last longer anyway.
Disclaimer: (because apparently I have to because some people are idiots)
Once again, take this for what it's worth, results may vary, your mileage may differ, I don't care, really folks, just trying to be a nice guy and post some info out here, please don't find my email address and accuse me of working for whatever company makes the stuff, I don't work for them, no really, i don't, have fun, good lifting, and really, don't bug me if you think i'm on the take or something, i'm not, also, don't bug me if you think I'm going to give you advice on steroids, i won't do that either, go see a doctor, i don't do that ****, lift safe, try to train with a partner (even though I don't), no really, really, don't bother me if you have something negative to say, I won't write back, in fact if you're upset right now, go drink a glass of water and forget you ever read this, I DON'T want to hear about it. Good Lifting!
