wow...
I was very disoppointed. I'm sure a lot of his infront of camera charisma will come in time. I found both of the videos (part 1 and 2) to be far too repedative. But no worries about that.
in terms of the actual information itself, i found it a little miss leading. Watching him and his training parter you see them both lock their arms at the top of a lot of movements. NPC bodybuilder or not, locking your joints is NEVER a good thing to do. Watching Shane do dips almost hurt my elbows just watching him.
Also, when doing reps in a given set, resting at the top is not always the way to go to get that "last rep." The quote I always liked was "less is more." Movements should be continuous, this keeps all the muscle fibers constantly working, and never in a resting state. Jerking your muscles in and out of resting state at the bottom of a rep can cause serious tears in the muscle Dumbells or Barbells (and not the tears in our muscles that us bodybuilders want).
Lastly, and this is probably the most nit picky I'll get about these videos. The flyes that were done were very poor form. Elbows should never lock in the movement, and if you need any more than a 30 degree bend in your elbows to hold the weight at the bottom, you need to drop the weight.
I hope that those pursueing bodybuilding who don't have Shane's genetics, and obviously freakishly strong joints, don't perform their excercises like him.
