Advertising?

Question: Can someone post a link to the 'Appetite For Construction' column John talks about in the articles? I followed his link to his main page, but don't see any articles by that name. Maybe I'm blind...

This program seems worth the time. And since it's only 6 weeks broken into 2 week increments it'll probably go by quickly.

John Berardi certainly has the academic credientials to back up this program, but reading this article felt like reading an advertisment for Biotest products. (I assume that John has some stake in the company.) In the past, I've found John to be a bit more objective. Oh well, can't blame a guy for wanting to make money.

Hey John

"The Growth Surge - This will also last two weeks. During this time, most of you will train twice per day and pay meticulous attention to your diet and supplementation protocols. (Note: For those that just can't fit in two workouts a day, we'll provide an alternative plan.) "

Hey John, anytime you mention two workouts a day you might as well come out and reccomend steroids along with that perscription. Because the only gains anyone will be making off a program like this are with steroids. In order to promote muscle growth you have to place enough stress upon the body so that it goes into the GAS mode and begins to compensate by building muscle for future workouts, but with 2 workouts a day your continually in a state of muscle breakdown.

I'd also reccomend you don't post articles on programs you've just made up but haven't used yourself.

This is just a program using the dual factor theory. Nothing new here.

And we know what causes muscle growth. Check HST.

the two workouts a day are meant to put you in a state of slight acute overtraining, for the short term and has to do with hormonal changes for benefit of exciting growth. Like Nick says, it's based on dual factor, and is definitly worth a try.
