Because the only gains anyone will be making off a program like this are with steroids. the two workouts a day are meant to put you in a state of slight acute overtraining, for the short term and has to do with hormonal changes for benefit of exciting growth. Like Nick says, it's based on dual factor, and is definitly worth a try.
