different strokes for different folks man, if a woman feels that implants will help boost her sex apeal and self confidence, i say go for it, just as long as she doesn't go over board with boobs bigger than her head. and to the author of the article, i give you 3 thumbs up! heheh. and nice article too.

Exactly. People that are so desperate for appeal that they would spend thousands of dollars on surgery are fake. Go on the Swan show on Fox.

Brenda Kelley (the author) makes her living with her body. If she makes more cash with a bigger chest, then it is a good investment. Has nothing to do with self-esteem....I saw her in person once and I seriously doubt she has self-esteem issues.

Its the same idea. If it makes a person feel better, gives more esteem, or they plain ol just want them go for it.

The article as very good, had a lot of informative facts and was written well.

the difference is between exercise and being cut open with a knife while on drugs with weird stuff stuck into your body. maybe next you'll say bb'ers should all get implants.

I disagree with this just a bit. There is a difference, getting muscle implants is different from breast implants... muscle tissue can hypertrophy and get bigger through training... so it's something we can fix through "natural" means even if dealt a poor hand. However, for the poor lady with the A-cup,there is nothing she can do about it... other than implants.

I've always gotten a kick out of peoples responses of "they must have low self esteem..." or indicating that girls that have implants must have "issues" etc.

How about, they just wanted bigger boobs? Could it just be that simple, or does every thing have to have some deep rooted meaning, some Freudian explanation??

Same thing goes for BB...I started when I was justa young kid (12), I didn't have any issues, didn't get picked on, excelled in many sports even at that age ( wrestling, baseball, football, bowling..) and was very popular in school.

It's just something I liked doing and took a passion to it. Some guys went to football, some went to chess club...I went to bodybuilding.

As for girls who wish to improve their appearance with implants...all the power to them. I don't think that we ( the guys) have any business commenting on the issue, as we don't have any perspective whatsoever. It's the old "walk a mile in anothers shoes...." deal.

would the same people tell their friend who has a giant nose, and endures endless jokes, makes them less attractive, bothers them, etc...NOT to get a nose job?? why the hell not?

Obviously theres a point of ridiculousness that gets crossed some where in stripper-land. There are extremes in everything, thats not the issue .

I say, do whatever makes you happy....

Coming from someone who's been taking heavy doses of dangerous drugs for 20 years it would be surprising and ironic to criticize someone who has something as ridiculous as a breast surgery.

Dear Nick666,

I can see why an openly gay man such as your self might take offense at woman's breasts.

But I think you must give us straight guys some understanding and realize that we feel that woman's breasts are a good thing. Big, small, white, brown, dark, it really doesn't matter, its all good. And I am all for articles on woman's breast, followed up by interesting and thought provoking pictures that add insight and depth to the article.

I have to say, as a competitor, when dieted down I lost about 1/2 my breast size, and I didn't have much to begin with! To be able to change everything about your appearance through BB except for your breasts kinda sucks. I've had judges at shows give me "feedback" saying I need a better padded suit! WTF?! Tell me something tangible I can work on to improve my physique.

It can be likened to a male BB with a small package. If there was a way to enlarge it, a lot of guys would, I think.

Face it breasts are an important part of a womans physique and sexuality, and unfortunately no amount of Working out/dieting/weights are going to change the appearance of a womans breasts (other than possibly making them smaller).

When my wife gave birth her breasts got large, then after breastfeeding they got smaller and saggier (due to the increase then decrease in size). She was not happy with them, and likened it to if my penis got bigger then deflated and was left saggy I would be the first in line at the Plastic Surgeon getting it back.

She got a BA basically to replace what was lost, and i will have to say she is much happier with her appearance. Personally I could care less if she got them or not. (more of an ass man) but its her deal, and I supported her 100 percent.

Hypothetical question: If you weighed 300lbs and lost a great deal of weight quickly - leaving you with saggy skin around your belly (not possibly to lose this naturally), would you visit the Plastic Surgeon, or would your High Self Esteem pull you through?

I liked the article. I am thinking that I might need to do this at some point; already, after training for such a short period of time, I have noticed my breast size decreasing and I honestly do not want to lose my feminine figure....I'm not sure if that is indeed a self-esteem issue, but I would not be happy if I was starting to look more like a guy!

I used to be anti-implants because I thought they were just for superficial women (e.g. strippers and the like)....however, since pursuing this sport and seeing so many women in it who have the implants, and understanding *why* they have them, I am not so down on implants. It's definitely a personal choice - stripper, bodybuilder, or whoever.

How do we get in touch with Ms. Kelly about her doctor? I belong to her listserv but is there a way we can get in touch with her directly?

For the guys out there voicig their opinion...

What if you lifted and lifted for years, and the more you lifted, the smaller your bis/legs got? More importantly, the more you lifted the smaller and smaller your package got... How would you feel about the rest of your body? Wanting to be a builder or fitness competitor takes a lot of commitment (I'm sure you know), but to have your body get better and better only for your feminine parts lose out is kind of a crappy deal.

Just keep in mind while you're voicing your opinion about women not needing implants that there may be more behind the implants than self esteem...

Just as bone structure (broad shoulders, square jaw, well proportioned limbs, etc.) is something that can't be changed by exercise or diet. I have about the least aesthetically appealing body type in the world, but that doesn't make me any less confident. And another thing; this is a quaint concept in the pretentiousness of today, but some of the sexiest women that I've ever met weren't necessarily the most physically attractive. Just as women like confidence in men, there are intangible qualities in some women that I find much more attractive than any pair of tits.
