Aaron Links - Where The Monsters Are!

True champion bodybuilders are monsters long before their physiques are reflective of it. Being a monster comes from inside. A monster has no time for ego, rudeness, or slacking, for he knows that these are the very foolish things that lead to defeat...

I agree that a lot of "being a monster" comes from the spirit within, but I think declaiming use of steroids is a little silly, considering the examples you site (Arnold and co.) are basically walking billboards to the amazing effects steroids can have on an intense workout regimen. No amount of blood, sweat, and tears is gonna build a Ronnie Coleman body.

The author of the article responds to the comment...

You are certainly correct in the mentioning that no amount of blood, sweat or tears is going to build a Coleman physique, but it certainly can manifest a physique champion in its own right.

I do not "declaim" steroid use. I'm sorry you misunderstood my message in that way. That was not what I wished to bring across.

Let me state my message for you in one sentence: Drugs don't make champions, it's what inside that makes them a champion...drugs only bring forth the dangerous obsession to a highly visual representation.

Steroids are amazing drugs, I do not deny that. Nor do I belittle people who have chosen to use them. That is their choice and I have to admit that I marvel at the effects and enjoy watching enhanced bodybuilders. I, myself have chosen not to use steroids NOT because of a sense of "self-righteousness", but because I wish to challenge my genetic potential and see just how far my own brutal determination can take me.

Thank you for reading my article, and I look forward to the responses of readers and encourage them to give their input.

Sincerely,
Aaron Links
