Talking

Hmmm... now correct me if I'm wrong... but this sounds quite a bit like Max-OT now, doesn't it?

I had no idea that super sets, pre-exhaust, pyramids, drop sets and the like were pointless! I guess I ought to throw periodization out the window too...

I won't worry about the 100lb dumbbells collecting dust though - I'll just use them for my volume workouts after a lower-rep strength phase.

Confusion

This was another popular method of training in the 80's. This was also called instinctive training. Many so-called "guru's" said that they had like a 6th sense when it came to training and they knew exactly what to train on what day.

They also never decided what body part they would train until they got to the gym, always trying to confuse the body. Well this just doesn't work. Weight training is not an instinctive activity. To reach your goals, you need a detailed plan and course of action; otherwise you will just waste your time.

How do you expect to get great results in 1 year, when you don't even know what part of the body you will train this afternoon. Also, you cannot confuse the body. As soon as you get to the gym and say "I am training legs", your body knows what you are training. All actions come from the mind so don't get confused over your training.

I think this guy is the only one who's confused. Muscle confusion has nothing to do with what the muscle "knows". It's about avoiding stagnation from the body adapting to your routine. If your routine varies, the body can't adapt.

Thumbs down This dude is stupid

If you wanna have bitch muscles with strength by all means follow this sissys workout. But your never gonna get big muscles training with 4-6 reps. This guys bashs every type routine that promotes muscle pumps. He is the prime example of those tiny guys in the gym who curl alot but have tiny guns.
