Body Octane Testers' Thread
I just received a jug with the cool MAN t-shirt.
Had 1 serving with water; tastes good, with a slight vanilla taste to it.
Will be training in an hour.
Thanks again Joey.

According to FedEx tracking I should be getting mine tomorrow. Also J-Rod thought it would be a good idea to put the date in the subject field like I did above so we can sort out the review updates from the other clutter.

I checked the status of my bottle, and FedEx says "Package not due for delivery," even though it's one town over... bunch of lazy pricks. tomorrow I'll start updating as well. looking forward to it.

That's one big bottle.
How long is supposed to last? When are you taking it?

Sooooo.. First workout on Body Octane.
It went quite well; I was able to repeat a PR, with one added rep as well, even though I was feeling a bit drowsy due to spring allergies.
Also felt a slight increase in hardness in the bodyparts trained.
So far so good.
Legs tomorrow.

1 serving is about 8g
One jug has 400g of powder
~50 servings, or 25 days if used twice per day.

results........after my back workout, i felt somewhat "refreshed". i usually kill myself on back days, after each set, i always felt i go at it right away. the "pump" throughout my back sustained from beginnng to end, my contractions were intense, and i finished every rep strong. overall, my workout was good. still early to tell, i'll find how my performance is on leg day.

Beast 3/16/04
Day 1
Took my first dose last night before bed. I did feel a slight tingling as noted (I kind of liked it).
Today took dose before workout. I went up on reps on everything (am not attributing this to BodyOctane since it was only the first day). I was also VERY vascular, noticeable more so than from Friday. Pump was very nice as well.
I cannot give away the details on my training routine at this time, but I will say, if you say it you would think it is overtraining. So what I am looking for from BodyOctane is giving the ability to be able to do this routine (decreased soreness/recovery time and increased endurance/energy in the gym). If it does that only during this routine, it is worth every penny.
Oh yeah, here is the surprise... (my face looks funny in the first pic, so don't hold it against me).

Day 1
Started my trial today. I took a dose first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, since I go to the gym soon after I wake up. It had a nice citrus taste, and mixed easily in 8 oz. of water. I noticed some tingling in my chest and hands.
Today was back day, for which i do fairly low reps. I started with deadlifts, then weighted pullups, and felt especially explosive on both. However, I got an awful nights sleep last night though, so towards the end of my workout I started lagging.
I ran a mile at a medium pace (5:05) after lifting, and didn't notice too much of a difference. I still had some fatigue in my legs towards the end of the run, but I was exhausted and hadn't eaten for a couple hours by the time I ran.
I'll be returning to the gym tonight for some sit-ups and wrist work, and to run again, since I won't be able to make it down to my AC for boxing in the noreaster. I might have to pop a SAN tight for energy though, hopefully this won't conflict with the bodyoctane. if so, i'll just have some coffee.

Try and wait a half an hour to an hour or so with the caffeine or TIGHT! before or after taking BODYOCTANE.

Day 1: Auxillary Work
got my bottle around 1 from FedEx, hit the gym around 2. I'll do the second dose before bed.
initial reactions: taste is really mild. I like it. mixes well, no grittiness. I didn't feel the tingle, but I generally have a high tolerance for anything of that sort.
workout was kind of an auxillary day: traps, biceps, and abs. normally, my workout looks like this:
Sun: speed bench, assistance work, abs
Mon: back, assistance, abs
Wed: heavy bench, assistance
Fri: legs, abs
I've been using Tuesdays to hit traps, maybe abs and something else I might've missed or feel needs a little more attention with my Westside routine.
upped the reps with some rear barbell shrugs, but I'm not going to attribute that to one serving. didn't sleep as much as I should've last night, so that made the motivation kind of lagging.
good pump in biceps, but nothing out of the ordinary. like the others, the vascularity is getting pretty high in my arms, forearms especially. we'll see how that changes over time.
tomorrow is heavy bench day, so we'll see how it goes. looking forward to it.

March 16 - Tuesday
Got my BodyOctane in yesterday, but it was an off day so I decided to start today. Had my serving this morning, taste was excellent... although it was a bit too sweet, it was perfectly sour.
I work at a garden center, and had a very tough day at work. Mostly carrying cinderblocks/heavy metal tables around, and shoveling gravel into a bucket [killer oblique workout]. I had a somewhat perpetual pump in my forearms but I don't think this was entirely because of the BodyOctane. Even though I did not have my usual Go drink this morning, I didn't crash at all until much later in the day.
Got off work, took my BodyOctane, and got to the gym around 8pm to find, lo and behold, they had closed the gym early because of snow. I suppose for the better, because of such a taxing workload today. I will do some gripwork with my CoC and maybe some pylometrics and chins at home to make up for it.
BTW, Diet today was a little high in cals. Total of 1 apple, 5 slices of sprouted bread, 6oz turkey, 3 eggs, 3tbsp peanut butter, 1 orange, scallops + pasta + pea pods + olive oil + red cabbage garlic salad for dinner.
Note that after my initial impressions of BodyOctane I will keep comments here shorter and post more detailed diet/training entries in a log which I will start tomorrow.

Day #2......Shoulders & Chest(my weakest point). each rep was explosive, but couldn't push myself like i wanted to because of slight pain in my right shoulder. shoulders felt full and pumped....i didn't want to stop side laterals. overall, so far so good.

Day #2
Again, I increased reps and/or weight on just about everything today. I would be extremely surprised, but very pleased, if I continued to increase reps/weight during every workout. NO soreness (DOMS) in anything but my hamstrings, which is exactly what I need for this routine.

did anyone else get a really sound sleep last night? I was pretty exhausted, but I never sleep THAT sound... took my serving before bed (since I got the bottle in the afternoon) and was out. vivid dreams too. woke up this morning, took a serving on empty stomach, laid back down for a bit, and fell into another deep sleep for three hours. anyone else experience this? just curious.
working out in an hour, will post results when I get back.

I don't know if anyone else has smelled this stuff but don't get too close or it will burn. Today was my off day so I don't have anything to report. This stuff tastes good. Sour, but there is no aftertaste which I like. Was able to fall asleep very easily tonight and I usually have sleeping problems. I take melatonin before I go to bed but I didn't need it tonight (whether that relates to the Body Octane or not I don't know). The scoop in the bottle is A LOT smaller than the measuring tablespoon I have. What's the deal with that J-Rod?

You should be using a rounded scoop or a tablespoon. I am terribly sorry for the confusion. One rounded soop should equal a tablespoon more or less. I would just use a level tablespoon although the serving size is 8 grams and according to the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics, 68th Edition, 1 tablespoon (the labeled serving size) is equivalent to 15 mL. Therefore, the average weight of 1 tablespoon would be about 9.2 g, but that is why we put ~8 grams for approximately....better more than less though! ;-)
