Tisha Rodrigues - My First Figure Contest!

My first competition was in 2000 with the NABF. I had only been training for it for about 4 months. Oh, but I thought I was IT...

A great read! Real, sincere, and effective in conveying its many messages! It takes a confident and down-to-earth person to be willing to share such experiences, from which many of us can benefit in our respective domains.

Great job Tisha! Congratulations on your career so far and may you have many more success stories ... and articles! in the future!

Tisha,
What a great article. You made me chuckle as to how we all go thru that sort of situation at one time or another. Its nice to know that we aren't alone.
I know that everything is a learning experience, and you always think you know the most, until the next time you learn something new......
Keep up the good work, keep it real, and let us know we are all human!

Tisha,
This was a wonderfully insighful article!
I smiled through the entire read. They say you can only get better; if that holds true, I can't wait to read your future articles.

Thumbs up Tisha's Article

It's clear to see that Tisha has yet another talent she's been hiding ... She's a writer! I so enjoyed reading her article about her first competition, it was so 'real'. Her writing style makes you feel as if you're right there with her: Fun, easy reading and hits home for any challenge a person may be facing. I am not a body builder, nor do I compete in body image ... HOWEVER, this article was much more about just a competition. It's about overcoming fear and having the courage to move forward.

Thanks for the insightful reading and speaking from your heart Tisha. I look forward to reading many more of your articles!

Wishes for Health and Happiness Always ~ HarleeJ (Seattle)

Nicely written article. Its good that you wrote about the mental aspect of what was going through your mind during the competition. Both men and women thinking about competing should read this.
